Nice I was really hoping for another VR video. Awesome. Developers are really active in the Discord listening to feedback.

It is awesome, when it's done right. And I love going back to Shapelab sponsorships, since it's very easy to recommend this app.

About the holes in the mesh when you brought it in: The way renderers work when you have a "hard edge" is by actually splitting the normal on those edges and making them perpendicular. Most non-Proprietary model formats won't store the auxiliary info explaining it's still the same edge, and just knows it's two separate edges with different normals, so it appears as a hole when you go to modify the mesh. A way to get around that is to smooth the normals before exporting.

Is that the birthing tree where the neonites emerge from that cavity? It looks really cool, I need to try sculpting in VR

Art inspo: I've been drawing olive trees in my most recent piece, pictures of olive trees might help you coming up with organic tree sculpts, they look wicked and so do your sculpts ❤

Are the neonites such as guts in their final form now? They seem a bit disconnected from the tree

You should add a effect on the fleshy inside part that makes it look like it has a heart beat or slight wiggle lol

And like a slimy, gooey, stringy, texture in the arm pit thing and pore type things on it that bust when you shoot it on the bark, kinda like eggs.
Edit: also a glow on the armpit thing, kinda like a stranger things portal by adding dust and glow and strings. Maybe even tintikles. idk tho it just sounds cool.
Edit 2: also try the same thing for the monsters, like for the one with the one hand reaching out of the hoodie thing you should make it slimy with stringy slime almost like hes split in half. also make the egg yolk more like stranger things portal also and give most of them orange pore type things to make them even creepier.
Just a suggestion, It would be cool.

Does anyone know if you can create a 3D design and save as STL file for a CNC machine?? I use vectric vcarve pro software to carve out 3d designs out of wood.

  • @rhctb

hey i commented this before, but what happened to the "touch of infinity" that you wanted to add to each creature? i think you described it as some sort of repeating "infinite" looking pattern somewhere on the character? i thought it was really interesting!
not to say i don't like what you're doing, you're doing amazing on this game! so happy to have been watching this journey!

Thanks! I'm planning to implement the touch mostly when texturing, so things could have variety without too much restrictions with this concept

I haven't been on Boro's channel for a long time, so I'm wondering, what happened with that Black Widow digital piece he was working on for ages? With that spider woman in an orphanage with all the weird human spider kids. I enjoyed seeing it progress. I'm guessing he gave up on it and deleted all evidence, or am I missing something? Would love to know the story there.

from a 3d modeling perspective coming from blender, hearing you say decimate everytime makes me cringe knowing that your topology is just gone. Its not like good topology is necessary but it makes me feel good seeing my model with nice topology.
