    You made the color contrast so simple and so effective. I loved the seaweed one. Beautiful location. Reminded me of Norway. Would make a great book.👏👏👏

      Thank you! Placing installation in such a stark, yet beautiful environment makes the contrast extra special 💙 Svalbard is part of the Norwegian sovereign territory - just much closer to the North Pole than the mainland. I had the great fortune of doing installation in Lofoten in 2018 and it was incredibly gorgeous as well! I will need to bet a real camera if I want to make a book one day 😉

    Yay!...instantly bringing back such amazing memories 😘. Your stacks and slabs looked so(!) good in this harsh but beautiful environment. You brought color to the island! Also happy to see the various installations (and your artist eye) were able to catch the rapidly fading daylight. The colors you extracted from seaweed were mindblowing. This time...all of your installations were my favorite 🫣. You make these (ready) installations look easy, but I know how cold it was for your hands and fingers 🥶.
    Ps. Cool! to see the almost(!) tipping 'domino stacks' at the coal harbor.
    Pps. You chose the music in the video well!

    I love your "beach flowers". Svalbard should do this on a large scale every year!

      Thank you for the sweet words!! I was thrilled that the tall beach stacks swayed in the wind so much - amazing to watch in person, although it was FREEZING that day ❄💙❄ People in the village would find it while walking on the beach and send me photos for weeks afterwards 😊 I have a dream of creating huge installations one day, so perhaps Svalbard will call me back for that!

    How wonderful 🎉 times ten‼️ 💕💕💕💕💕 Slick & smooth & colorful bits next to rough wood texture = amazing contrast ‼️ Also, the music you chose & then just the wind… Perfect ‼️ AND thanks for the wildlife shot.💕 Reindeer ? What a grand art*adventure. ❤❤❤ Where to next ?

      So much awesome enthusiasm from you, Bonnie....I'm honored! Thank you so much 💙 Yes, the reindeer of Svalbard are short & stout & roaming everywhere. I didn't have the honor of seeing a polar bear, but the reindeer certainly make up for it. So...would you believe I'm headed back to Svalbard next month?!? I was invited to house sit during the dark season and I couldn't pass it up. Can't wait to spend the holidays with Santa 😘

    Hi Margaret, What is the best way to print Blue butterfly pea flowers? Flowers are blooming in my garden. Thank you 🙏

    • @MargaretByrdColorQuest
      @MargaretByrdColorQuest  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Malathie - how amazing that you can grow blue butterfly pea in your garden - envious! I have never printed with it, but the dried flowers I've worked with are very potent, so I would imagine a quick steam print could work well. You could also first try hammer printing them to see what happens there. They are very pH sensitive, so you could also play around with that a bit maybe. I believe they are considered fugitive in their color, so keep that in mind, but enjoy the beauty they bring you no matter what 💙💚💜

    • @malathiepahathkumbura1298
      @malathiepahathkumbura1298 11 месяцев назад

      @@MargaretByrdColorQuest Thanks Margaret. Yes, you are right. They are very pH sensitive and the dye I water based. Hammering is the only successful method I came across so far. I make birthday cards by hammering. These flowers make a beautiful blue tea which is an immune booster. I have red multi petaled hibiscus too. That gives a beautiful purple colour but again pH sensitive . That's also an immune booster. Thanks. 🤗🙏

      I source both blue butterfly pea and hibiscus as healthy teas to drink since we don't have those more tropical plants here 😊 There are so many dye plants that have medicinal benefits too - amazing! @@malathiepahathkumbura1298
