    I was 10 and my best friend's sister had this record and we would play it over and over in his bedroom and dance. We thought we were so cool!

    This was probably the best K-Tel collection of them all. My dad has still has this on vinyl ( I was around 3 years old when it came out) and I wish I could find it on CD.

      @@owlcatzMost pre-mid 80's K-Tel albums didn't have CD issues.

    I was 9 years old when this came out. My older sister had it on an 8-track. I listened to it about a thousand times in my basement. Would love to be able to find it on vinyl.

    K-tel tried wearing a skinny tie but its heart was in flares and jean jackets.

    If it was In Tune With the 80s, it was a keeper.

    🤔 wondering at the outskirts of 2019 if this had the live or studio version of “I want you to want me” by Cheap Trick. Anyone???? Get back.

    I wonder if they released a U.K. & Australian version of this compilation. By the way Mr. Janu I enjoy listening to The Vinyl Voyage. Be sure to let your students in your history class know about these.

      There apparently was a separate Canadian version.

    The first record I ever truly loved. I thought I remembered the Cheap Trick's version of "I Want You to Want Me" was the classic live version but someone said that it was the lame studio version. Any thoughts? Maybe different versions for different countries or something?

    • @bdjanu
      @bdjanu  4 года назад +1

      The American pressing featured a live version of "I Want You to Want Me." I have 2 different copies; they are not the studio version. You can listen to the vinyl version of this album on my show, Adventures in Vinyl. Here is the link. The song comes on at the 47:20 mark. This was the very beginning of the slide from the awesome 7os 😀❤️ to the 80s 🤢👎and its cold, synth overload, IMHO
