learn something new every day , i may revisit a few loads that shouldn't have been over pressure but showed signs.. very possible my cases still had some lube on them as I really haven't been cleaning them after resizing.

False signs of pressure or not, firing a .22 LR in rain years ago, the case head blew off and went down the mag well into the palm of my hand. Left the rest of the case in the chamber.

Not super familiar with all these cartridges listed in that table. But I was wondering if similar results can be found in straight walled cartridges?
So instead of expanding to every direction the case only expands backwards? Does this prove that custom rifle chambers should still be roughened with ~320 grit sand paper after being reamed to a fine finish. If there is no lube taking up the space between cartridge and chamber wall primer flattening shouldn´t happen. Right?

How would this phenomenon affect revolver?
Would it cause more pressure on the cylinder, or because of the cylinder gap not be an issue? 🤔
