Dude, Gustavo is more than worthy to make Payday 3's music. And I really hope he understands how important this was to many of us, and how amazing he did.

@@JCBOiii No. He's said in the past that he'd be open to work with them as a freelancer to make more music. I'd bet money that PAYDAY 3 will eventually have at least one Simon track. He did do some Bain voicelines after he left OVERKILL as well.

He became a freelancer for a short while, but later joined 10 Chambers, who are basically old Payday devs. He still remains a partner with Overkill, so who knows, he might come back and give us a handful of new tracks

That low-high low-high serves as the main motif for the payday gang going loud. The dudududun dududududun is their stealth motif. It’s present in most songs.
At the beginning of the assault part ( 0:47 ) it's similar to trouble's always inbound

Gustavo had some big shoes to fill taking over from Simon but by god does he walk in em.

Gustavo definitely went back to both soundtracks and put his own spin on it, because I definitely can hear the Viklund inspiration oozing from this track more than most of his other work for PD2

Stealth vs loud is less binary now. If you want to go loud during a heist while still being stealthy, you can start out in stealth to get a head start before you go popping helmets 😉
There probably will be. We've only seen two of however many heists the full launch will have.
@@donovanjoseph737 I'm so glad that's a more viable strategy. I think plain stealth is way less fun than loud, but I really enjoy pseudo-stealthing my way through heists like Big Bank, maintaining stealth for as long as possible but intending on going loud eventually.

I think the soundtrack feels way more "organic" than Viklunds music. Way more transitions. The music refreshes itself all the time. Just great.

This gives me Razormind vibes with a little spice added and I'm all for it, Payday soundtracks never miss
I was really worried that without simon the music would start to feel less like payday like some of the later heist tracks in payday 2 but this has that grimey, low down and dirty sound with the hybrid acoustic and electronic sound that makes the franchise's music stand out so much. Great shit Gustavo, can't wait to hear the rest of the tracks and the future heist songs.

Payday music has allways been one of huge aspect of what i love this game about. Goes amazingly well with pd world. All this different ''phases'' how it builds up eventually from sneak to fk up situation yet something so epic moments with friends. Cant wait to spend another almost 3k hours with this one too!
