These are the two service elevators in the Dennis tower at Bally’s Atlantic City.
They are Schindler elevators with RT fixtures. Upon getting into these elevators, I noticed that there was a 12th floor button which the passenger elevators do not have. Not knowing what it could be. I pressed it and the elevator started going up. Little did I know there was a key card reader on the panel and that the button for the 12th floor did not light up. Turns out the elevator started moving because somebody had called it on a higher floor. When the doors opened, we kind of just said hi to the employee who was out there and that was that. Then when I realized that we couldn’t go anywhere on these elevators, (probably excluding the lowest floors that I didn’t try which may have been unlocked ) I just didn’t try them) the guy must’ve hit the button again, and the doors opened back up. at this point, I don’t think any of us knew what to do so the guy asked us where we were trying to go. First, he asked if we had a room key which we said we didn’t. Strangely he didn’t seem to mind that too much and simply asked us where we were trying to go. Initially, I replied “down to the bottom,” indicating that I wanted to go to the first floor. Remembering I was on the service elevators (lol) I then made up a random floor and told him that we wanted to go there. Regardless, he didn’t seem to care and scanned his Key for us just fine without asking any more questions.
