As a 3D Animator I think the trailer is mostly 3D animated. Camera movement, perspective changes and temporal coherence are way too good for any currently available AI video model. Some studio probably animated the whole thing and they just run that animation through AI style transfer program so it matches the look they already had for project. This would explain how cats move fluidly without morfing all the time but also give it that AI look we are familiar with at this point. Some static shots are most likely fully AI.. explaining girls 6 fingers etc.
Yeah i think that too but on the website there are some photos and animations that do look AI, like the light purple cat and the glasses next to it and the animation of the hat with the ears the way the ears come from the hat and then merge back together
As a 3D animator I agree with the fact that it's CGI, but not the rest. She has five fingers, not six. The shots with the girl is not AI, since they reused the model for her boots and just switched the texture. Plus the sky they used for most of the trailer is literally a sky from Poly Haven ("Belfast Sunset" if you're wondering).

What is much more likely is that they generated a bunch of images in Midjourney to make a storyboard and handed that to an animation studio. AI response via NPCs is actually a good idea. The feeling of providing a free text response like in the Oregon Trail, even if you are pushed down the same morale paths as standard Bioware games, would still give a feeling of choice I have not felt since maybe DA:Origins.
there’s a game called suck up where you’re a vampire and you have to convince ai npcs to invite you into their house so you can kill them. i played it it was a lot of fun
Only for unserious or sandbox type games. No story games would ever work with completely random dialogue
@@oliverthedum2129Not entirely true, you can set parameters after all
@@cmdrgarbage1895 still I think it would end up sounding flat most of the time. Plus, emotion in dialogue comes from the VA’s performance. If it’s not a real person speaking through the character, it’s gonna hurt the emotion and sincerity of what they are saying
we got an ai cat applewatch game before a chao garden mobile game
I love how the game's page didn't at all explain what the actual game even is 😂
The worst part is no matter how many people say its fake, people are still gonna buy and try it.
3:36 critical studying for his 1st grade vocabulary test
I'm most curious about that monolith of a case in the background
We dont even know if charlies content is ai or not anymore
Some of his last videos seem like AI.
I’m expecting a full mech suit in this room by February
watching ai grow as fast as it has is like seeing the simian flu spreading along with the apes running free
At 2:29 if you look at the cat's front paws you can see that it looks a lot like its AI especially when you look at difference in size between the 2 front paws one is huge and the other while also big isn't as big as the other while the back paw is like a normal size and if you look at the cat's themselves what kind of cats even are they as they don't really look like ant kind real life cat at all it's really bizarre
0:41 My Grandpa just passed away recently, damn...
was he cool
He's gonna replace one thing at a time and eventually he'll just be in a different room
Room of Theseus
8:17 I can only imagine these people hoping he would fall for that and having their legal team ready
I honestly thought that Catly trailer was a Friskies commercial at first.
This reminds me of the Korean Sims game that fell through during development; the cats look very similar to that games style
Wait was the Korean Sims cancelled or something?
@@Mr.LeoNov Inzoi supposed to come out march 28 2025 on steam.
@CoryMillard 😲 Really! I heard Inzoi was shelfed by the devs because they believed it wouldn't be profitable & the company would lose more producing it than pivoting to another game. 😄 I still hoped it'd be released cause everything looked really cool if only more people could get it to run without crashing their systems 😅
@@Symirai That must been a different game. Cause inzoi just got delayed until march 28, 2025. But its for steam early access.
Lunchly
Catly
im startin to see a pattern here
I was so distracted by everything else during the awards. It truly felt like it was sandwiched in between other trailers to hide in plain sight.
No. It was a trailer as others. The fact that you weren't paying attention doesn't mean it has hidden between other ads. It was one more ad of the ceremony.
No.
Test message: Fuck youtube comment section (sorry op)
adding 'ly' to the ending was the icing on the ai cat.
Trailer is too cute to be ai
I don’t think the trailer is fully ai, as in, I don’t think they just popped in a prompt and used whatever the generator popped out. There’s definitely been some human touch-ups made to try and hide all of the mistakes made by ai. Everything else is clearly Ai though, it’s clear that no real artist actually worked on this. This isn’t even the worst Ai ad I’ve seen though, just look at the Honda ad.
This video is so fresh i can feel charlies breath as he speaks directly to me
seeing your pfp say that is worrying, put the knife and plate down D: /j
Strange comment but I enjoyed it thank you
Having AI in your game removes its soul, that a human made it.
ALTHOUGH,
He's just using what the AI was made for!
CALLING THIS NOW: They will try to sell NFTS.
So what im hearing is now we need an Apple watch category in the game awards.
People who buy into crap like that would probably fail the Turing test, and not on purpose like some soon to be AI
The Day Before is back, this time with Cats and AI generated!
7:20 majin cat lol
tbh the concept it's interesting, but if you've been on the internet for some time you can totally tell it's all AI
Valve is gonna have a field day with this game if the devs at SuperAuthenti don't make it very clear that the game uses AI generated assets.
3:19 DARK SOULS SPOTTED
And it's even the Xbox 360 Edition!!
its been there for a cool minute its dope, inspired me to let my copy of mario galaxy2 chill on a dresser of mine
That description sounds exactly like ChatGPT.
SuperAuthenti, a company brought to you by Guy Incognito
If a game is affiliated with crypto or nfts or anything like that at all, it is assuredly a scam. I can’t recall a single game produced with crypto in mind that wasn’t a scam.
this game is supposed to be called the day before: reborn
The way this game is described reminds me of dreamworld 💀
I got recommended on RUclips a trailer for Catly before it was featured in the game awards, I was heavily suspicious about it even looking at the thumbnail. I thought if it wasn't AI, it was a really shitty mobile game with the campaign of a triple A game. I never watched it but I pat myself on the back for my suspicions.
4:59 terrible cheap VA? terrible cheap AI lmao guy has it backwards
I can see the headlines now:
"NEW game studio 'RealAF' drops enchanting trailer showcasing flagship game 'Eldritch Feline'"
0:42 I'm stealing that 😂 "it'll revive your grandfather after his untimely demise"
There are parts of the trailer that are clearly cgi animated but there are also parts that are definitely ai
What parts are AI according to you? All seems to be CGI to me.
@@synsam12345all human shots. It’s all in the hands where they lack (or have too many) fingers.
@@synsam12345There’s the shot where the one cat falls down the stairs that makes zero sense because AI has no sense of perspective
@@flameblastv5151 There's not one single shot in the trailer where the human has more than five fingers on both hands. Plus, it makes no sense these shots are AI. The 3D model of the boots are the same throughout all looks, they just switch the textures. AI doesn't reuse 3D models. 3D artists does that.
@seangiglio I agree the animator must be bad, because the animation is very jerky. That's not AI though. Explain to me for an example why the 3D model of the woman's boots are the same throughout all looks, they just switch the textures. AI doesn't reuse 3D models. 3D artists does that.
This thumbnail scared me.
4:36 Thanks for not censoring the names. Makes it easier to report accounts like this.

The Steam page says they got Akira Senju to write the music for Catly.
Very authentic indeed.
