No wonder you are pressuring enemies so damn fast. BTW, Sephiroth's Shadow Chains can be parried? Is that what I'm seeing? Is it really that easy to negate?!

After seeing that infinite end move I kinda need to remember to use it but I suspect I should just get the hard mode manuscrips and weapon levels upgraded. Kinda wasting time on rulers right now. Unless I get a better stratagy it's like a stuggle to get enough damage in on the summon battles alone. Just to get creamed by ghili. Was able to stagger ghili twice but need some heat with infinity's end move and weapon levels I suspect.
You have to learn his attack patterns and block then counterattack and try to kill him on the first stagger if possible because he gets more attacks and gets more annoying when below half HP. Also before he use his Shield 🛡️ throw fira or another spell so he can pull his shield to block it and finish the Shield he pulled out with attacks then fast stagger him and kill him. I have 722 hours in game and I still can't block 100% About 4/5 of the time if you can block 80% you can annihilate. Rulers is hell to solo, you gotta practice so so so much. I haven't done it but I'll probably use build here and copy ATB a little
Damn, made that look too easy. I’m struggling with the Odin fight and only made it to Gilgamesh once. Jaw just kept dropping further after each round. Are there any good tips or places to practice getting down the hang of perfect parrying? I try and get them sometimes but I think I’m prematurely hitting block before the animation. Is the key to use triangle as the block/ counter when evading in Operator mode? Are your weapon levels at max or 8 for this fight?
First: the best practice is always against the challenge you want to complete. Second: there is no tip or trick i can give you for perfect blocks you need to memorize the attack patterns of each boss to be able to perfect block almost any time. Third: i have my weapons on max level yes, which it helps with the dmg so you can kill them faster but thats it. And make sure you have equipped Precision Defence Focus Materia, maybe the best tip I can give you is that you don't need to press block at the exact time the actual attack is connecting but just right before it hits.

@@Clamgoblin and then some nore practice... Just take the rest of the Manuscripts you are missing and then do VR Challenge if it's that hard because more DMG is great if you are not patient. Just google where to find hard mode manuscript, there are many guides.

I don't think u need to block that much if you just wanna go through the Hard Mode levels, but if you fight Boss or something u have to block at least 80%of the time unless you dodge and just heal up with the HP Absorption paired with Enemy Skill. Basically u have to use Sonic Boom often and make sure u get ATB charges fast so your Plasma Discharge proc and heal you as well and one more thing Sonic Boom and Plasma Discharge Deal MAGIC dmg. So you need at least 360 or even more M.ATK so you can heal more from those skills

I have the same exact materia and weapons but 10 points short.. could it be the folio? Edit: I found that I have to complete the hard mode mini games ffs… Also I have the genji gloves on but a braver with sonic boom and dark side as well as the berserk doesn’t get me over 10,000 damage like you.. my damage is around 7,000 per braver 😓
@@ash1k015 erm first cast Darkside then Prime Mode and be sure to have Berserker lvl2 on plus sonic Boom when you cast Braver The Magic attack is fine on what you have and i have every folio for Cloud that means my weapons are lvl 9
@@jon0o when you activate Prime Mode after th second attack when you hold Square button( attack ) you can see if it's active below your ATB bars lvl 1 and lvl 2 Berserker has different icons but kinda similar to each other.
@@tolkienblackstill not quite, after all of the crafting and defeating gilgamesh you have to fight certain enemies on hard mode to get their crafting materials
I’m gonna be real I didn’t know parry’s became counters when you used punisher mode until near the end of the game. The combat in this game is way deeper than most would think.
For sure actually i haven't used Punisher Mode thath much in мy first play through but if you wanna win this Challenges on Hard Mode you need to counter everything with Cloud.

Nope, the whole idea is to heal passively with HP Absorption when you cast Sonic Boom or whenever your Plasma Discharge proc. And you need +20 M.Atk because those 2 skills do Magic DMG.
@@KalmashinV you get such little hp back from that though Lose 5% of your health for sonic boom to get back a few hundred hp (ofc it's a necessary cast for brave/faith) Plasma discharge does only like 200-300 damage on a non mage build so that's like 100 hp per proc The vast majority of your health recovery is coming back between rounds

Aerith is the most Ungrateful Solo Character for this challenge, just play Cloud or Tifa for easy wins.

There's an accessory called Genji Gloves that allows you to break that damage limit
Oh I guess that's a reward for beating Gilgamesh. I am on my 2nd playthrough trying to reach level 70 so I can fight those final 4 side quest bosses.

Definitely recommended time though over atb stagger you'd certainly get more out of a casting of haste for such atb intensive fights
By the time the Cid/Vincent DLC comes out, you'll be so sick if the game, you won't want to play it.
