- Presenting various opening and closing RCA Columbia Hoyts logos, as they appeared on home video releases in Australia and New Zealand. First Release and Video Box Office were also included as they were subsidiary home video labels of RCA Columbia Hoyts in these countries. I also included three separate Hoyts logos (one being a Polygram co-brand).
The material is as follows:
* RCA Columbia International Video (1982) - opening logo [silent]
* Columbia Pictures (1981) - opening logo [silent]
* RCA Columbia Hoyts Video (1984) - opening logo [silent]
* RCA Columbia Hoyts Video (late 1980s - 1990s) - opening logo
* RCA Columbia Hoyts Video (late 1980s - 1990s) - closing logo
* Hoyts Polygram Video (1984) - opening logo
* Hoyts Distribution (1984) - opening logo
* Hoyts Distribution (late 1980s - early 1990s) - opening logo
* First Release Home Entertainment (1990s) - opening logo
* First Release Home Entertainment (1990s) - closing logo
* Video Box Office (1990s) - opening & closing logo [note: logo used for both]
Love the Hoyts-Polygram jingle-- it was later used as the theme for a short-live game show in the US called The Great Getaway Game in 1990.
That First Release logo just seems to never end.
Comcast/Universal now owns a 50% stake of Hoyts PolyGram Video with Sony Pictures Hoyts Video Pty. Ltd. Owning the other half of the Australian Video Distributor.

The Hoyts logo at 1:46 was shown on ITV here in the UK before 'The Karen Carpenter Story' back in 1989.

No (MCEG) Virgin Vision? RCA sold and distributed them while under the ownership of Coca-Cola and then Sony.
Actually, after Virgin demised its rental focus in 1991, Triumph Home Video took its place also Polygram 4 years later and then Universal (before abandoning the CIC name alongside Paramount) bought Polygram many years later, just after resulted Sony introduced the AXN channel (which runs movies/films (BrE) that are primarily distributed by United International Pictures, hence their films are distributed by Sony).
