    Boling's best time ever at 44.68. I think he's got the physicality to go under 44 but the question is his "during the race" mentality and focus.That "relaxation" while maintaining technique at max high speed float is so hard to find.And he should absolutely be Long Jumping during the trials

      Yeah, he seems to run tight and you cant waster any energy if you want to finish strong in 400m with good time.

    Both of these guys should be included on the relay team. Can really help in the rounds and great fill in just in case one of the top 4 gets hurt or to provide added rest/recovery for the big dogs. So fun to watch. Congratulations to both of you. I think they both could grow from this experience.

    Boling looked like he eased up a little at the end, which is good. It means he can shave a little more time off, and he will need to if he wants to get a relay spot.

    • @phoebus
      @phoebus 2 месяца назад +3

      Boling was in the fastest heat and ran his PB and did it easily, no straining at all and he did ease up at the end, but still ended up with the 4th fastest time. Just round one, it will be interesting to see how much more he has. Lots of Boling haters, aka racists that want to see him fail.

    I think at this stage of his career, he should consider moving up to 800m. With that speed (genetic), all he would really have to work on is base cardio and the speed endurances. I bet he could go 1:41.

    • @Watkinsstudio
      @Watkinsstudio Месяц назад +1

      Boling has no chance in the 800m.

    • @Mark-eh7kx
      @Mark-eh7kx Месяц назад +1

      I agree that he should move up, but the world record is 1:40.9 and it has stood for 12 years. Uh, I doubt he's running 1:41!

    Matt should stick with the events he likes the most enjoy competing as long as he can because only a few people can make money at this sport and that's the goal for all athletes make money doing what they love and the rest of us can only dream about such talent.
