Living in the tropics I first started using DJI products due to overheating issues when using action cameras. DJI products just work better in hot humid environments. It also helps that DJI products are available throughout Southeast Asia at roughly the same price. This being Southeast Asia there are many look-alike and knockoffs of everything from Beats headphones to imitation iPhones. It's easy to find drones that look like they might be an affordable alternative, but few (if any) are a viable option for capturing usable video footage. They fall more into the "toy with a camera" category, whereas DJI drones work and provide the usability that make them a nice addition to a video makers tool kit. That said, I don't know anyone who has switched from DJI, but I know several people who have realized the advantages and quality of switching to DJI.
DJI is pretty much the benchmark for reliability and usability for most prosumers. It sucks that essentially they have a technology monopoly at the consumer level.
Phantom 4 rtk was the last phantom, came out in like 2019, so it's only about 5 years old now. It has rid and is actually really modern under the hood. It can also be hacked to use external lipo batteries for extended flight time. That's why it's holding its value, it's basically as good as a mavic 3e if not better with the battery hack in terms of flight time, , although the rtk module is possibly last generation so it loses a tiny bit of accuracy on itself, but it can use the d-rtk2 which the m3e uses as well, so basically its exactly the same specs as the m3e rtk but hackable.
Yes but when higher dimensional lifeforms that have the technology for Interstellar travel using wormholes to travel come to earth they obviously contact Americans and reveal themselves to the US. Also Superman will always land in America as a child and not India.
It comes down to this... SALES FIGURES. 1- As consumers flock to easy access website shopping, Manufacturers need to push their Marketing game. When I started looking for DJI alternatives in the smaller under 250g area, I got fed up, said, Ok fine if My Government bans DJI I am just hosed over...I can't find anything good, so I just bought 2 Neos (one for a back up) 6 batteries for flight time, an RC N2 and a Goggle 3 with Motion controller. All this because everything else I saw was crap in comparison at the same cost level. I think I'm in just under $2k with tax, shipping, blah blah blah. Show me another Manufacturer who WIDELY ADVERTISES THEIR PRODUCTS, where I can get all of that for under $2k. 2- Since I like flying Drones, I'm going to get my part 107. I'm probably going to drop $2k - $4k on my next Drone purchase. Tell me why I shouldn't stay with DJI?
If your government bans DJI, all those will become bricks because it would be blocked at the software level. All your flights go through DJI, it’s the same reason you can’t go over 500 meters in altitude.
DJI is way too overpriced for drones. I buy their air unit , a drone kit with extra parts and it’s still half the price. Since I built it, I know how to fix it. In the end , I have a much better performing drone.
I'm looking to build an inav cinelifter eventually... Currently flying betaflight firmware. How hard is the switch, on the tuning/programming end? I know the additional hardware needed, but really have dug too deep.
Yeah I don't believe in downgrading 2 a lesser drone then the DJI product. Instead of trying to always do things by being crooks. And not using brains and creativity to be number one in technology I don't want any American drone. Play definitely got to step your game up in America to the DJI qual not only enchant knology but also in customer service and marketing.
When America steps up its drone game, that's when I'll look into buying American. For now, it's all DJI for me!
And even if it is illegal I'll still fly coms arrest me feds
@@erickh5291 Amen, brother! ✊✊
@@erickh5291 next vid. dji is unavailable, how to jailbreak dji's ;/
Wouldn’t buy anything outside DJI. Nothing is as good. But great video.
Plenty is better. Especially with FPV.

very timely

there are also other countries than the USA

Funny comment considering these guys are Canadian
there are a few countries that are way worse than US when it comes to drone control
@@chancepaladin There are also much better countries than the USA. And if DJI is banned in the USA then almost all the other countries are better
@@m0m065 This video is about DJI ban in the USA. So nothing weird or funny about my comment
What about the Specta series, which seems almost identical to the DJI mini and air series.
The software looks identical too with a few less options?

american made drones are too expensive, labor is expensive, exporting parts also cost more than building it in china where parts are local

No they aren't.
Is 200% actually the tariff? Or are you guessing that amount?
200 is the minimum I've heard, I've heard a maximum of much, much much higher. it's all speculation, but it could be much higher
The tariffs would only be on the wholesale price, not the retail or middleman price.
You forgot about the DJI spark
I have a spark that I just don’t use since the Neo came out. I can take the Neo and the RC3 and go now. No set up, just fly.
DJI owns all the main patents for the drone tech . So any company wishing to use said patents must pay DJI
Fimi makes relatively good drones.
You can buy DJI drones from Canada
This got extended for another year. So safe until 2026 at least. By the way, lots of drones in the FPV game are better than DJI.
Then inav will become far more popular.

@richardosborne6464 I set mine up using RUclips videos.
