The original Una version has this vibe of a little kid with immense power watching as the place they called home slips away from space. There is nothing that they can do to help it despite their power, as if they realized what was going on when it was too late. All they can do is watch as the things they hold so dear get destroyed or die. This version seems like two robots, both programed very well to the point of sentience, are stationed on a spacecraft outside their planet. With all the knowledge on how to fix their dying planet and yet no power to do so, they are forced to listen and watch as all the humans they once reported to die and the planet goes with them. Wow, that was dark. Was good writing practice, though.
I feel like the deeper grumbly voice makes this cover feel like a whole different song. The original had a innocent sweet vibe, but this one just has a hopeless and desperate vibe to me and i love them both!!
every-time i hear this song, i imagine two robot soldiers, who have survived a war that their kind caused, and that ended their kind along with all life on earth, in an attempt to escape the dead planet, they built a starship and left war, only to see what it has done to the earth, they traveled for many years, trying to find a planet that was safe for them, on their journey, they witnessed supernovas, planets being born, the birth of new stars, planets of different sizes, and stars of different sizes and colors.
I think this cover sounds much better than the original. I picture this song being played in a scenario where humans went extinct for thousands of years, leaving thousands of satellites all over the solar system all alone, no longer serving their original purpose. Then one day, out of pure loneliness, afraid to be forgotten and lost to time, they all decided to sing together for the whole universe to hear, to let them know they once existed.
@@ChildOfTheLostStar 3 years later here, still listening. You’ve made something truly amazing, using such limited tools and making something so emotional out of it, bravo.
Oh shiiiiiiit son I was just able to listen to this and it gave me huge goosbumos, shit. creepy. this way it's done gives a different meaning to the song I didn't consider ong.
