    I always found traffic to be so fascinating. Like it’ll always be a mystery about how others live their lives and where they’re heading to

  • @t_q1799
    @t_q1799 Год назад +16

    It is definitely in the late 90’s as some of the cars shown started production in 1996/97. For the ones that are still on today’s roads, they’re mostly Japanese, followed by American made vehicles. I love how wonderfully it secedes itself from modern traffic nowadays so perfectly.

    • @JamesK7911
      @JamesK7911 Год назад +4

      I’m pretty sure it’s 1997 because at 8:28 I saw a 10th generation Ford F-150 which was manufactured from 1997 to 2003. However the one at 8:28 is the only one that I saw in the entire video if I remember. Therefore I’m guessing that in 1997, when that generation body style was brand new and more expensive then the ones before, I’m guessing they weren’t common yet.
      It’s like now October 2023, once in a blue moon will you see a vehicle from the 2023 and 2024 model year. Because not many have been made and sold yet. Now in the next few years, then yes they’ll be everywhere 😅🤷‍♂️ if that all makes sense lmao

      I feel like all the Japanese cars, plus the American trucks (along with the Panther bodies thrown in there too) are the most likely candidates of the cars still alive and kicking today. I always felt like European cars die so quickly

    I’m pretty sure this is the intersection of Sawtelle Blvd & Palms Blvd but i don’t know for sure. The only reason I think that is because I’m pretty sure straight ahead that’s a bridge that’s crossing over the 405
    Not only are the street signs mounted similar, That intersection is the only one I know in that area that has a road that crosses above the 405 instead of below like all the other one’s do.
    Plus It’s the only bride that goes over the 405 that’s on Sawtelle Blvd before the road itself ends at the West LA Medical Center and Overland Ave.
    I hope this makes sense but I also noticed everyone oncoming (towards us and the filming crew) were putting down their visors which means they were either facing East or West because of the sun.

    Most of the japanese cars are still on the road, I see a camry, corolla, preview, sienna 4runner. Some nissan pickups some chevy pickups. Those were the prime time of the japanese Automobiles. Mann 90s was the best era to live in. I'm glad I was born in kid 90s...got to experience growing with quality people all around the city and quality food, movies... everything was up a notch on the quality and honesty side. Society now is going down hill fast. Liars and cheaters are the new cool, acting tough and mean is considered a cool trait. People are way selfish and way into themselves plugged all day in their phones. Ite just scary to grow up and live in today's world.
    Edit: 1:13 I saw a 1997 5 series BMW, so this video is recorder in the late 90's. Thought it was recorded in 1990... now being in california with no rust almost 50% of cars in video must still be on the road. I was so amazed going to Vegas and seeing bunch of 80s and 90s cars looking brand new thank to no road salt being used on their roads.
