Kiss and Tell is a 1945 American comedy film starring then 17 year old Shirley Temple as Corliss Archer. Two teenaged girls cause their respective parents cause for concern when they start to become interested in boys. The parents' bickering about who is the worst influence causes more problems than it solves.
The movie was based on the Broadway play Kiss and Tell, which was based on the Corliss Archer short stories. The stories, play and movie were all written by F. Hugh Herbert. A sequel film, A Kiss for Corliss, was released in 1949 and also starred Temple, but was not written by Herbert.
If you would like to purchase this movie, along with all the other movies Shirley made as a teenager in a set, here is a link to my listings.

At the end of the movie, where it cuts off, there are a few more lines.
Corliss: "Well Mom, I couldn't tell - and I think we put on a pretty good act!"
Mother: "It was much too realistic. But I should have known Dexter couldn't do a thing like that."
Dexter: "Holy cow!" (in an offended way)
Enjoy! Кино
Shirley Temple was cute as a kid, pretty as a teenager and beautiful as an adult. That is very rare!! Not to mention extremely talented. We need more Shirley Temple's in this crazy world. ❤
It's looks good I love it so much it's looks like new DVD releases review history books documentary about biography and legend legends tour guide new year reel life
Everybody likes to watch a movie and miss the last minute. Super great.
i was thinking the same thing lol
Ugh...Why weren't there more Shirley Temple movies at this age. She was absolutely beautiful!
She wouldn't comply with pervs
The 2nd kiss and tell stank and they blamed her saying she just didn’t have any sex appeal.
No !
If the hollyweirdos would’ve gave her different roles that didn’t include any sexual acts it would’ve been fine , only influencing disgusting acts to the YouTh!.
Shirley survived being a child actor and growing up on stage doing all this and that . Yet , once she left Hollywood. , she adjusted so beautifully into private life and later in politics . She was a very intelligent woman .
She enjoyed most being a mother. She said it in a interview once in England
Shirley Temple was a wonderful actress and a true lady….. after retiring from movies she became a wife, mother and then later in life an ambassador for America…. a truly remarkable woman…. this is a truly wonderful gem in movie history.
Thank you
She was Ambassador to Ghana.. not America..

Love movies like this. ❤️🌹🌸
I don't know why Shirley Temple wasn't more popular during adolescence and adulthood. She was perfectly charming.
Fox did her wrong.
@@RA-dm1yn Yes they did. They should have given her better roles as she got older. Even her rival, Jane Withers, who I also love, at Fox got better roles
Absolutely a delight love her to bits 💚💚💚
lol what's wrong with cute? She could be the innocent friend role
I agree! I love this movie; it's so funny. - Maybe the studio thought audiences wouldn't like her if she changed much.
Why did the critics then say, that Shirley Temple was not good as a grown-up actor. Shame on them, she was sweet and funny, and this movie was as good, as the movies of to day Thanks for posting this.
Alis Buus The problem was writers and movie makers were terrible at providing roles for young women so that transitioning from childhood to adult roles was extremely difficult and most didn't make it. She played too many dopey teenagers to be accepted as a sexy woman. And the fans didn't want to see her as a villain, which was one way some broke out of their type casting. I liked her in Since You Went Away, except for encouraging her boyfriend to smoke, although I understood he needed symbols of manhood. She was funny in the Bachelor and the Bobbysoxer but that wasn't a meaty role. Like Deanna Durbin, the writers let her down. It was time to quit and find out what it was like to be a mostly normal person. :) (Well, completely normal people don't have fan clubs.)
She was not an adult in this movie. She was a teenager.
She is a teenager in this movie.
Cause they expect her to be a kid forever
@@653j521 Well, Elizabeth Taylor did make a great transition to adult roles. I agree that Shirley didn't get great writers, but she also didn't have the glamorous looks of an Elizabeth Taylor.
Shirley Temple is gorgeous.
Movies from this period were the very best they would ever be! Never have I enjoyed films so much!!!!
Loved the movie. I have watched most of Shirley's movies and loved them all but this one made me laugh. Corliss acting so innocent and sweet to get away with what she wanted but at the same time she was thinking of others.
This was a fast pace movie. Such great times back then.
Too bad we missed the end!
We all suffer a great loss today. As a child I watched your movies over and over and over. I am now blessed with twin 1 year old granddaughters who I will watch them again with. Shirley you will be missed by us all. Lori
Her passing certainly leaves the world a darker place than when she was in it.
Unfortunately your miss informed.

The script in this movie was about 100 years ahead of its time here in 2022. In my 69 years of watching the charming and adorable Shirley Temple, I have never seen her this age as a young woman. But still such an amazing role model for many people. ♥️♥️♥️
And BTW, "Physiology" is the correct answer today in Neuroscience.
This is a Timeless theme. Thousands of years old or more.
"Oh, be quiet, you think everything is dumb."
"It's my experience that most things are."
Haha! I love that! =D

" I think it's all very dumb ! "
I think " Raymond" stole the show , in a way,
being so often in the middle of all the goings-on.
Love this film.

"Oh, don't be a drip."
Ha, 🤣🤣
Nicole what's is this Ha Ha Ha ..
The innocent acts of both Corliss and Raymond are kind of precious.
This movie was great! I love every single one of Shirley Temple's movie. This was hilarious--the Dad character cracked me up"I distrust people who stay calm during a crises" "...Jello?! at a time like this!!?" 😂
She is amazing
When i first saw Shirley Temple in this i thought its Shirley temple but not a little girl anymore
But quickly before you know it she is this character and you forget you are watching Shirley Temple
Shirley Temple received positive reviews for her performance in this. Many film critics saying it was one of her best works in years.
I actually can't think of anything she did I didn't like!
The Bluebird was her only flop. @@cristineconnell7803
Funny one-liners; great characters; well written and directed; Shirley's adorable; a delightful movie!! In 2019; it's somewhat bittersweet. Thank you!
I like old movies. They did great and much better than nowadays.
Such a cute movie! Shirley was so beautiful:)
I laughed so hard every time Raymond says "I think it's dumb!"
Dad was pretty funny too.
“I wasn’t selling kisses!” 🤣
I'm a big fan of Shirley Temple....so talented.
Shirley's father is hilarious!!!
"Are you listening to your radio, and if so what program?"... and kicks as the dog runs away LOL!!!
Toks Abuka In the scene where he comes in with a bloody nose and he's all excited with his hair a mess and his little mustache, I thought he looked like Hitler.
LOL! So funny!

Likeable
Lovely
I love Shirley Temple at all ages.
This is one reason I love old movies. The main story of the movie rests on the morals of the time. I just hate that's it's missing the last minute or two.
Loved shirley temple as a teenager she's so cute in her roles that she played I just love these old movie's
I don't like Shirley's character in this movie. She's kind of annoying and conniving with the boys.
(guest).
Raymond is my favourite in this film.
So often in the middle of all the goings-on.
And of course, the immortal line:
" Well I think it's all very dumb!"
Love it !
😊.
"Well it's a long story, Commander, and I think it's very dumb!"
Hahahahaha! That kid is too much!
I feel sorry for young people who don't get this kind of movie. This is a classic comedy dilemma about morals. Like Cary Grant living with a single woman in Japan or Bing Crosby visiting an ex-wife. Same issues as now but they delt with it in humor for the most part while we deal with it in reality shows. Nothing's really changed since biblical times, just the media in which we hear about it.
I like how she crosses her fingers first, so she can tell a lie and say it was Dexter fault. Great writing and cute.
People just saw Shirley Temple the beautiful curly haired petulantly perfect little girl. How could an Icon of childhood innocence become a pin-up girl, or love interest.
It is sad... Her kids got a healthier childhood than most Hollywood spawn, IMHO..
It also gave the world a states person of great wisdom and worth. Did we miss some artistry, no doubt - but was her overall contribution more or less important. I am so glad she took the path she did.
Miss Shirley Temple - Thank you for your public service.
.....and the joy you brought us as a young actress. Few men have done so much!
Nothing about Shirley's childhood public image was petulant, and there's nothing to suggest that the real Shirley was, either. Did you mean precociously?
@@SnowdropWood it’s so funny that people even consider coffee a bad thing till a certain age as we do alcohol but we still can’t not stop them from any of those harmful substances !!!!!!
I love her father's reaction. Instead of getting mad he asks how did she made out? Shirley was hilarious in this.
Shirley temple was a gift to us on this earth 💚🇳🇿...thank you
Favorite movie of all time!!! Laughed the whole way!
“Sounds like Dexter’s mating call”
Ahhh this film is hilarious
It is such a shame that a great child actress like Shirley Temple was later given terrible roles. She had so much potential and so much talent. She was an asset to them and they were careless with her.
A bit of a character actress in a way love everything she did in make believe life AND in politics which is sort of Make Believe
Great characters, great one liners... every actor gave a marvellous performance. Recommend highly. Absolutely escapist non stressful entertainment.
Wow,such an old,old movie and it still made me laugh!!
Shirley is such a talented actress.
OMG! This is the first time I ever saw her in a movie as a teen! She is the same except a deeper voice!
Never knew this movie. Thank you.
I love Shirley Temple
I watched this movie for the first time, and I absolutely loved it. The storyline and acting were great, and Shirley Temple was so delightful to watch ❤
"I mean you're to shut up!" that's my favorite line. And the second favorite line "Hi, Contaminating Influence, where you been all day? "
"hypocritical oath" was funny too.
My favorite line: when Corliss' father comes back from his walk and greets the family dog, "Hello, Meronica." Completely over the top, seemingly unnecessary, but a master stroke. Beautifully and intelligently written, directed and acted. Fast paced, zany and totally believable. A suspension of disbelief for 90 minutes of great entertainment!

Thanks for posting. I love the oldies movies. I've been in love with the classics since I was like 9 or 10 (27 now). I've never seen this, but I like it.
That was real cute.. I had seen Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer, but in this Shirley really was a star. So funny and wholesome.
I've always wanted to see this film! Thank you so much!!
she really was a phenomenal actress
This is a great movie! Thank you for posting it!
She grew up into a beautiful and charming lady😘❤️
Thank you for gathering together these "old" movies and actually, playing the entire movie. These little clips that many "you tube editors" place on the internet make me feel revolting....
I love this movie! I love everything about it.
"What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive"

What a great movie!!! I was actually laughing. LOVE.. Shirley.. no one sounds like her and she is stunning.

Shirley Temple really did turn into a fine and talented adult actress. Too bad she didn’t make more films.
She is a 14 year old kid in this movie. She is not an adult!

Shirley was still great. She should have starred in many more as she grew into a beautiful young lady
Shirley was even cuter when she was a young woman.

Love Shirley Temple. She was amazing.
Awww, the ending was cut off. This is such a good movie. Quite funny. After seeing this I can't understand why Shirley temple didn't go on to do a lot more movies than she did. She was still quite a good actress.

I'm 16 and from hawaii it's kinda weird growing up listening to rap music and gang movies and really liking old movies like this..
I liked her movies at your age, too! Movies are universal :)
I was here for shirley temple but stayed for the story line. It is very funny and entertaining 😂
Very entertaining ❤thanks for sharing ❤
She & Judy Garland looked so much alike in their teens!!
Ironic when you think about it.
Shirley was far more beautiful but Garland had soul.
Thanks for posting. I had never seen this movie; it can be really hard to find.
The father in the movie of Shirley Temple, was actually pretty cool as far as a Dad of a teenage girl. Mother says she is selling kisses and Dad asks, "how she made out?" Absolutely hilarious on so many levels.
Shirley finesse any and everyone that damn near got in her way 😂 even her family 💯😍
Bummer. It's just not the same watching her here. I grew up as a little kid in the 60's watching her movies,
and that's what I like to see. It's like watching the Little Rascals all grown up, just not the same! LOL :)
I like Shirley better as a grown up actor I can't see why Hollywood didn't want her anymore .
If I'm not mistaken this and BACHELOR AND THE BOBBYSOXER were one of the few films she did in her teenage years that were major hits. There's a sequel to KISS AND TELL entitled A KISS FOR CORLISS, her last movie role, but it wasn't as good
Very funny movie, thanks for the download.

Annie Rocq Agreed!
Hold to the movies views, but more important, hold to God's views
amen
I'll hold the fact that to have a baby or be a "true mother", you have no need of being attached to a man for the rest of your life, nor be ""oficially engaged"". A mother is a mother, married or not. Parents are parents, being united by laws or religions or not. It's sad when a teenage girl gets pregnant, but it's because she is too young and not prepared for that (and adult life in general) yet, and will lost the rest of her teenage. But for mature women who choose that they want to be single mothers or don't want to be attached to their partners (man or other woman) by "law and God", I totally support and feel proud of their courage and their braveness in fighting against old fashionade ideas, caring for her and her baby's happiness only!
I have totally NOTHING against couples who choose to marry first before having a baby, who thinks it's what BOTH want to and thinks it's better for their family and future. I just don't like when people thinks everyone, especially only the woman herself, should follow this process to have or care of a baby, as if we are forced to act like this, because if we didn't, just because we aren't legally married (in the church), we can't be mothers, we wouldn't be good mothers or educate our children right and with love. To be married is a choice, to be married is a thing that you have to do only when both people involved truly WANT it and are aware that their lives will change after that. It shoudn't be something forced, artificial, without love, just because you think God only bless couples and parents (especially mothers) after they signed a piece of paper and/or make a religious ceremony.
Shirley Temple was something.
She's still like the same as she was as a younge child . So cute aha
