I agree with Gene Siskel that "8 seconds" was a good movie and I definitely agree with Gene Siskel that the speech at the the end of the film "On deadly ground" was the best part of the movie. I do argee with Roger Ebert about the film "Sugar Hill".
You So Crazy leans towards performance art, almost like a one-man show. The way he inhabits characters to play out scenes is so similar to Pryor. Ever seen Pryor do the heroin junkie? Not all stand-up has to be Catskills punchlines. It can be real artistic expression and Martin Lawrence is GREAT at taking Richard and Eddie's playbook and running with it AND being true to himself.
On Deadly Ground would wind up on their Worst of 1994 show. Apart from that, get out the boxing gloves for the rest of this show! Give me Richard Pryor's concerts any day!
8 seconds was pretty good & gave it thumbs 👍 loved Martin Lawrence's You So Crazy 👍 Hated On Deadly Ground Steven Seagal was all over the place acting, directing & the story was lame as can be. Sugar Hill i gave a moderate thumbs 👍 i enjoyed Snipes performance along with Michael Wright & i loved Terrence Blanchard's film score.
R.I.P Siskel, Ebert and Luke Perry.

How can you not like Carlitos way!
And, boy, was Gene off on _Demolition Man!_
I love when they throw personal insults at each other. The "Fiorile" review is classic Siskel and Ebert insulting each other.

Well Clifford, Roger gave Richard Pryor Live at the Sunset Strip and Here and Now 4 stars, so you have nothing to worry about.
Dude I totally want some of that butter popcorn now.
Roger turns into Mr. Meeseeks at 10:16
I really like Sugar hill
John Baxter “I wanna chiiiiil, on sugar hiiiiill!” 🎶
I love the song, can’t say I love the movie...
Movie is a classic
Is Sugar Hill located in Strawberry Fields?

10:17 OOOO WEEE
17:40 I guessed there would be a war in the 40’s. Roger, you’re too much.
17:52 The point of the commercial is: Butter is sexy.

Lol Siskel praises the riding sequences in '8 Seconds' and then they show a stunt double and some obvious CGI.
I enjoyed 8 Seconds. Nothing original or outstanding but still very enjoyable.
Ebert was too generous.
For which film?
I am more of an Ebert
they didnt like you so crazy? i thought it was funny as hell
Gene didn’t like it. Roger did.
Siskel also didn't like Eddie Murphy's Raw 🤨
Sisley DID. Roger did not.
Siskel DID. Roger did not.
Sugar Hill was largely forgotten. Point to Gene there.
10 years later Al Gore does the same Steven Seagal climate speech and wins an Oscar for it.
👍🤣
Gore didn't blow up a bunch of refineries 😏
