Hello from the U.S.! Beautiful model! Looks great in black. I haven't built a WWI model in 1/72 since I was a kid, but after watching this video, I think I know what I'll be doing while couped up next Winter! Thank you for the inspiration!
Fantastic build Champion! AND AWESOME choice in paint scheme BTW. It is so great to see a non red Triplane. As much as adore Rittmeister Von Richthofen's triplane (heck the legend of the red baron is what sparked my interest into Military History & Scale modeling as a child ), ITS SO OVER DONE to see a model Dr 1 in all red! There are so many more flamboyant paint schemes to the Dr 1, than just all red. GREAT JOB MATE!
Lovely job of this build mate. Well done. I have the Eduard 1:48 scale version of this kit. I think you chose the best colour scheme too in my opinion.
Being your working on a small scale what would be really cool is to have a fully constructed Triplane like this hanging suspended in large bottle. With another sopwith pup or camel in a dog fight diorama all inside a bottle. Possibly hinge the wings and landing gear to collapse until it makes it through the neck of the bottle then have it unfold to normal. The way they made ships in a bottle
No rigging wire on the inter-plane struts and landing gear? Would have been quick and easy to do and really made it pop! Anyway nice work! Hope I'm not being to picky ...
Really good video and helpful as I have the same kit. Yet somehow try to get a better focus on your lens. Seems most important parts are blurred to your lens being out of focus. If using auto focus move slower so the camera can readjust more fluidly to keep things in focus.
What was the reason for attaching both bottom wings before airbrushing ? Was it not hard to paint the inner sides like this ? About to build and paint this kit. My first bi-plane after 4 years of building Gunpla. Thanks.
Just one question, i have used varnish over oil paints and i ruined everything the oils paints just start to make like small bubbles, is there a minimal time unttill i can use the varnish?
I use super glue or Pva glue, pva glue is best for small or flat parts where you need a bit of adjustment after placement. This build I only used super glue.
All of your videos are great. The only criticism is the scale. These models are just too small. Many elderly people like building models, but at such small scale it becomes quite difficult..The assembler gets enjoyment, of course, but most people are not as adept. However, it is a pleasure to witness the extent of your knowledge and ability.
What happened to the guidwires especially the ones that work the tail and the undercarriage wires??? Just couldn't be bothered eeh, just too small eh, should have picked a larger scale EHH

Well done. I can't even imagine trying to work with photo etch that small.
I've done it before, it's really a pain and barely noticeable in that scale, only worth for close up pictures or competitions.
What a lovely little DR1 really beautifully put together
Great work
Really cool build sir, the wood in the propeller and the barnish cape, give it a great looking.

I have this kit tucked away, now I think I will build it! Thanks for the motivation.
Great looking Fokker mate! Nice work on the wooden prop.😍👍
Your builds just keep getting better and better. Your eyesight must be bionic too! Well done and thanks for sharing.
Well done, great looking Fokker, thanks for sharing!...Bill
What a lovely little plane

Nice detail great work and meticulous construction.
Beautiful work!
Beautiful as always Jason!! Great work
indeed it is a very small model but a great build. It resulted outstanding.
Very good job......so nice, so small. I've always had a soft spot for small scale models, thinking that when done well, they are extra special. ;-)
Im being very rude, amazing work
Wow, such a tiny little thing at that scale, my eyes would bleed trying to cope with seeing the small details. Lovely job mate. Cheers 👍🙂🍺🍺
Absolutely excellent! Wish I had 10% of your skill. 👍🏻
Just lovely mate fantastic
Very nice! Congrats. on breaking through 3,000 subs.
👍
Lovely build a great looking Dr1.
I modified and inserted a micro dc motor in mine and the effect is really good.
Really good build. I've just built the same plane Revell version but using the Eduard Decals but I over weathered mine 😢
I’m building a 8th scale Yousef Jacobs DR1 love the colour scheme.
Nicely done
Excellent work!
Absolute amazing work!
A fabulous job for a wonderful model, most impressive triplan!
Very nice job, thanks for sharing
The Cross Markings and paint scheme reminds me of the Fokker DR-1's from "FLYBOYS"!
The Red Baron is red!
What the hell is this going on here??
Lucky lady

Well done, mate! I really like it!
What a beauty
Lovely looking plane

Fighter planes without parachutes.😊
Very nice job!
Nice work. What's your trick for getting the machine gun sleeve perfectly round?

It’s fixed focus so not that I like to blame the tools but I’m doing the best I can 😆. Thanks for watching 👍
The Black Falcon
Good job!!
Nice job
Very gooood!!😀👍

Brilliant
What is your favorite WW1 aircraft? The Germans had some beautiful craft. The Albatross is particularly beautiful.

What was that cutting mat you used for the tape?
Any cutting mat will do fine. Matters not.
wow how can you even see parts that small i have a hard time with 1/48
👏👏👏🤩
I think "exquisite" is an apt description.
hard for you to show off your considerable skills with hummingbirds this tiny...
The crosses on the bottom wing go underneath the wing ! Not on top
It would appear that, on this particular colour scheme, there were crosses on the upper surface of the lower wing. Who knew?
@@michaelevans205 wow. Didn't know that!
Nice build, but definitely shouldn't have gone with the glossy black. Matte would have looked more realistic.
It's Joseph Jacobs

I guess it was an oversight ehh?
Rude prique.
looks much to shiny and to toylike not used and like an real sorry thats an toy not an model
