Basbousa Ingredients:

1 tablespoon yogurt
1/2 cup ghee
2 cups of semolina basbousa
Sorbet Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
1/2 lemon
A splash of vanilla
How to prepare:
How to make basbousa:
1. In a large bowl, mix semolina flour, sugar, milk, yogurt, and ghee.
2. Pour the mixture into a 30 cm baking tray greased with butter.
3. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
4. Bake the basbousa for 25-30 minutes, or until it turns golden.
How to make sherbet:
1. In a medium-sized saucepan, put the sugar, water, lemon juice and vanilla.
2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
3. Leave the syrup on low heat for 15 minutes, or until it thickens.
Submission:
1. Pour the hot syrup over the basbousa.
2. Leave the basbousa to absorb the syrup for 30 minutes before serving.

1. You can use fine semolina flour to get the best results.
2. You can add 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder to the mixture to get a more fluffy texture.
