  • Today we are looking at child development at 18 months. Click HERE for your free developmental chart: www.nekoleamber.com/pl/83925
It is so important to remember that not every 18-month-old will be doing everything mentioned in this video and that is OK! Every child has their own developmental timing, and we would be wise to remember that. With that being said, we do know if something feels wrong or quite off, and if that is the case please reach out to have a developmental evaluation completed for your little one.
These milestones are just some of the milestones that take place at 18 months, but these are the developmental milestones that stand out most to me.

Great vid :) I've seen some resources that say 18 month olds should be doing waaay more (like dressing themselves) and my kid is no where near that lol. He's closer to what you described and now I feel better :)

Great video! Any suggestions for receptive language or follow instructions? It's our biggest struggle.

My baby can't do all these, but many of this for sure. She will be 18 months soon so I am kind of scared, she is not walking independently and she is not speaking clear words yet, I don't know if growing up in a bilingual environment has an influence in this, but she does bables a lot. She is not pointing nor waving yet and i am really concerned about that, she used to clap all the time but she stopped, it seems like she got bored about it. I am giving her choices on which books to look at or the clothes to wear and she chooses using her whole arm, she loves making this decisions, does that count as pointing?. Can late walking lead to late speaking? I was told that when my baby walks she will start developing all these skills quickly, is that a possibility?my daughter will se a therapist but a have to still wait a few months for the apoontment. I am trying to remain positive and hopeful but I am so concerned and the wait is emotionally draining

Did your baby start walking and talking yet? And if so both languages or in one?

My daughter does all these things but she flaps her hands a fair amount and is awkward at daycare.

Wow, I was thinking our son was somewhat behind. But he's 15 months and has been doing all this for a few months

Ok so my boy does all this but he’s only speaking about 10 words. Is that normal ? Only I see some posts saying 20-50 at this age
