      I think he’s a great candidate but in all fairness with the job Shane Steichand and Demico Ryans have done this year as first year HC’s - getting their teams this close to playoffs and playing with house money has got to be the storyline. Stefanski did the same thing in 2020 with COVID and that was the same year Harbaugh got the Ravens to the playoffs with the Walking Dead as a team. Kevin got the award because of the turnaround the team had and performing beyond expectations.
      I think that’s what Steichand and Ryans have done and did it ahead of schedule. It may come down to who goes further in the standings by the end of the season.

  • @glasspencil
    @glasspencil 9 месяцев назад +13

    I’ve never seen Kevin that angry. Like, he actually sounded upset when he said “What’re you doin!?” after Joe threw the pick.
    Compare that to his reaction to blowing the Jets game in 2022. “It’s fine. Let’s go score here.” Straight face. Then they lose and while Jacoby was swearing up a storm Kevin was like “It’s fine. Tough loss…”
    I used to think fans were just emotional and reactionary (and dumb) when they got so upset at Kevin’s stoicism and lack of emotion.
    But bringing in Jim Schwartz and Bubba Ventrone has enabled him to loosen up a little and has created a much better environment where the players are having fun despite the immense adversity. This is of course helped by winning, but the wins are a bi-product. It’s a feedback loop.
    I finally get what fans were saying when they wanted some emotion from him. Just look at him at 8:00.
    This is fun. And the players are having fun. And it’s turning into grit and heart.
    Kevin is still Kevin, and I like his stoicism, but this little addition to his temperament and character has certainly helped. I’m here for it.

    • @OhioHoon
      @OhioHoon 9 месяцев назад +4

      I think he was upset at Tillman. Highly probable the route/read by him was incorrect. That's usually what happens when it looks like the QB is throwing right to the DB. It's not easy to play WR in the NFL. Lot's of decisions the WR has to make about exact route location based on what they see as they leave the line of scrimmage at snap. If the QB and WR aren't reading the DBs the same way, you end up with what you saw on that play.

    • @RockDrillSuite

    So Bell makes the interception in the end zone, runs just outside of the end zone, slides, then gets back up with no Bears player touching him, then runs back into and out of the end zone. Is that a safety? Is he down automatically once he gives himself up coming out of the end zone, without an opponent touching him while down? Can someone clarify with an official rules link?

      When he ran out of the end zone and slid down, that's considered downing the ball

    Wow 6:40 he messed up the throw, could have done something after that . Fields is going to be good even just next szn ..
    Edit: and the bears dropped it in the end zone 🤣 man , browns got lucky. But you need a little bit of that sometimes

    This roster AB has built is one of the best I've ever seen. By far the best browns roster ever. Elite starters with solid depth. 1-53 everyone contributes and makes plays. Muhamed Diabate recovered the fumbled punt and cam Mitchell with the clutch 4th and 1 stop. Our 5th CB and LB making huge plays. Ronnie hickman and Deanthony bell our 4th and 5th string safeties have made plays. Alex Wright with a big time TFL when we needed it. This team has 53 playmakers.There's not 1 player on this roster that is a bum. AB is one he'll of a GM. He built the entire defense and hired shwartz. The browns #1 defense is the wirk of AB. Every player on defense was drafted, signed, or traded for by AB. Except for Garrett and Ward, they were here b4 him.

    The roster is gonna look the same next year. Very few players to hit FA this offseason. This roster with a healthy chubb and deshaun, stefanski as HC will win a SB. I really believe that the Browns win a SB within the next 3 years. If watson and chubb were playing now we would be SB favorites.
