Hey guys it's Barratt with the Gimpy Camper. So today I wanted to talk about tireminder issues that I've run into and help you get your system back up and running. The most common issue is sensor errors where the system doesn't pick up the sensor. For those of you that don't know the sensor measures the tire pressure often but at a lower energy level. This causes the psi to update every few minutes, but if it senses an issue with the tire pressure it will send out a stronger alert to get the attention of the monitor immediately and notify you.
The most common reason for sensor failure is the fact that the battery goes dead. You are supposed to change your batteries and your o rings out every year. I usually do mine in the spring. This is easy to do as you just remove the cap, use a pick or knife to remove the old o ring, and place a new one down. Slide the battery out and back in, paying attention that the button battery is oriented the same way when you replace it.
If this doesn't fix the issue and truthfully when you replace the batteries I would go ahead and do this, but the tabs that the batteries are held in can become loose. So before you put the battery in, squeeze down slightly on the metal tab to compress it slightly. This will increase the contact surface of the battery and ensure a good connection.
In my case I have had increased interference lately. I thought it was my cellular router and my wireless network, but I turned it off and it didn't get any better. The main issue that makes it noticeable is my wireless backup camera. It was very clear and now it's a little grainy. The last time I was having connection issues I had to remove my rhino repeater from the tongue of my camper and mount it on my landing gear leg pointed straight down to the ground which is the preferred mounting orientation anyway. Since I've done this about a year ago I've not had any more issues.
This was just a quick video for those of you having similar problems. Thanks for watching guys. I appreciate all of you and thanks for being part of our family.

my i10 has been flawless for about 18 months now. I had an issue with my display and their customer service couldn't have been any better! My repeater is on the driver's side landing leg with the antennas pointing down to the road as well and I keep my connection even when the display is in the house like 70' away.

Have you ever hit a bad pothole and had a sensor start sending a warning?
