I love the scene where they are in the metro going home and he casually tells her how to fix the problem with her grandma. Just like that he changed her life. And in top of that they go to dinner
I know that scene is there as well...it's so under the radar ...happens so casually but totally is the step to solve several of her problems and gets the grandma looked after! Massive.,👍
I'll never forget the first time I saw Jian finally broke a smile for the first time. It almost feels like a strong memory from a past relationship. Will always be my favorite scene from my favorite drama of all time. That being said, I really appreciate that you quickly mentioned other remarkable scenes from what I consider the best episode of this series. - Yura's quote at the pub: "People fear failure for their entire lives... but I learned that you can be happy even through failure" (pretty much sums up the entire drama) - The To-go box: While Donghoon's act itself is touching, the acting of Jian's grandmother with such gratitude and the chemistry between her and Jian are just beyond precious There is so much more that I wish were discussed in this video (i.e. the visual contrast in the ending scene) but I understand that everything cannot be delivered in 17 minutes. Yes, this episode gets better and better...it feels wrong not to talk about the earlier scene with the two of them here as well! Yura's scene...for sure...thanks for sharing your reaction!
You mentioned Jian is depressed out of habit. Similarly it also occurred to me whenever Gwang il hurt her she seemed sort of let him beat her out of habit or out of guilt, for her deed in the past. So sad
Yeah...to me it feels like self loathing at the heart of it....it feels like she doesn't think she deserves to be happy because of what she did. It's like she has internalised society's mistreatment and identified with it.its hard to get out of that without someone to help you 😳
I think Ji An out of guilt and also because Gwang il tried to protect her and the other young boy from his father's abuse of them when young. Sadly that relationship changed when Ji An killed his father.
There's a cute behind-the-scenes clip of this scene. IU is asked if she wants fake beer or real beer and she says real, not realizing how much she's have to drink. After downing several pints during several retakes she's very tipsy.
Also, the scene she come in to pub was last shot of this episode. Her face was already red when came into pub, thats not because of the cold weather, but already drank too much for take scene LOL
Lol..I would never drink real alcohol on set haha....it's true..she does look slightly drunk when you think of it...and that flushed look when she gets there really adds to the scene! Looks like she ran her heart out! Thanks for adding that! 👍😁
LSK commented on the raging topic by netizens about too much foaming beer in the scene. LSK said that next time he will give IU real beer. So not sure this is real or fake beer.
Hello Mr Drama Man, this is also my favourite scene in episode 7, it’s very touching to see their affection for each other have moved towards an urgency of desiring to spend time together. Dong Hoon is looking out for Jian’s company & who wouldn’t desire a pretty girl as a drinking buddy? I am totally in love with this drama that I am unable to move on to another drama, nothing compares … Thank you for your sensitive & heart felt analysis which directs us to re-visit the beautiful scenes which connect us to these two life trodden soulmates. Looking forward to your next posting.
There are some interesting comments here about DH 's calling Jian pretty and if it mattered to Jian. Watching ep 8 now i rediscovered something noteworthy again. At mom's b-day gathering when DH 's son kept asking if Dh thinks his wife is pretty 이쁘다 or nice 착하다, he ended up half heartedly answering 'she is just good 훌륭하다' To me that word choice implies his unaffectionate state to her, esp. given that DH voluntarily called Jian pretty looking and nice착하다 (after carrying grandma home in ep 5) I think it s one of the deliberately intended clues by writer and director. Yes i am serious!:)
Yes, there are so many times in the series when words or gestures echo from scenes in the past to the future. I agree it's a clue to how the characters are feeling, and you might only catch these details if you watch the series a second time. thanks for sharing.
Sometimes I wonder if the western audiences know the meaning of her Korean name Jian. The lead character's Korean name Jian has the meaning of reaching to the comfort/peace. So it made the last line of the last scene of the last episode even more touching.
I think we do because he asks her about her name in one of the earlier episodes and she explains it and he goes: "It's a good name" :-) yes...the ending couldn't have been more perfect! 👍🤓
I love this scene because it is so sad that how a smile can be so impossible for this young girl and finally she get it back. Ah one thing, I want to share with you about the meaning of “running” of this drama. I cannot remember the episode number, but someone says “people runs because they love”. So this running of Jian into the bar is not just rush but also it means she is getting into love with him. And her speciality “running” on the resume, means that she is actually a girl of love although she has been so dried out by hard life.
In episode 8 a scene that fascinates me a lot is at the beginning, when they walk together. He starts by giving her an engineering lesson and seems to want to turn it into a life lesson. She asks: "What is the inner strength of life?" and he replies: "I don't know". For me this talk completly reflects their relationship.
I was long waited for EP7!!! Ji-Ahn's short smile melt my heart downed. "Let' be happy" is perfect translation of original script. In Korean drinking culture, If someone prays something and toasts, They should empty their cups. But this time they already drink so lot before...:-) "It was pretty charming" is not direct translation. What DH says is "I think you have strong internal-force" (You know next episode's conversation about Internal-Force and External-Force?)
Thank you for clarifying this. I too wondered if I missed a previous conversation. A lot gets lost in translation. I don’t understand a word of Korean but it is my favourite thing on screen. Please be around and give us the right translations for every episode. Thanks Ted
More fun analysis; thank you for this one! I wanted to add some of my own interpretation on this scene. So, they are at a point where they are craving time with each other. It’s still pretty awkward time, but one thing they both get out of spending time together is that they get to soak up more information about each other. More info leads to more understanding leads to more “love” and acceptance of each other. They’re starting to get there, I think something in each of them knows that unconsciously, but consciously, it’s just a craving to get more of the other. But they’re not very good at it! He’s INCREDIBLY repressed, and she grew up feral so she doesn’t really know how to do “friendship chat”. She’s trying stuff out…with him. Back to that in a moment… First, she asks why he hired her. It’s not because she wants to know if he thinks of her as just a pretty face…pay attention to the flashback and you have your answer. Really, she’s thinking of what she wants to talk about with him, and a memory comes up…it’s that guy in the office surprised she’s still around, and he makes that fairly insensitive, off-hand comment the he thought she was hired as a joke. THAT’s what she wants to know: was she hired as a prank of some sort? She wants to know 2 things: 1) is he cruel or insensitive (who hires somebody as a joke?); 2) Does he take her seriously as a person? THe answers: of course he’s not insensitive, but we don’t learn that until the beginning of the next episode (internal/external forces)…and 2) he actually remembered her resume (he flashed back to seeing her resume - does this guy have photographic memory?!?!) and he points out something that was “charming” to him, her running hobby. He takes that serve and returns it: “How fast did you run the 100m?” She can’t volley…she’s not good at conversation, so she just answers bluntly and honestly that she doesn’t remember. I love his response, it’s one of these rare moments when you see the razor-sharp but quiet wit of Dong Hoon: how do you call running a hobby then? Hilariously sardonic! Then she tries more conversation, but she doesn’t really know how to read the room - when you’re having a beer with a friend, you don’t talk about how you become invisible. Maybe you say you also like hiking and would he like to go sometime to a nice park? But she has no social skills like that, and she just wants to share more about herself with him, so she goes with whatever about her was triggered by the running comment. She’s lucky he’s interested in everything about her. He takes that in, and then he does a modification on the next thing you do in a social setting; a toast! He holds up the mug, she gets it, meets it, they clink glasses, and his toast is “Let’s be happy”. It’s an appropriate toast: it’s almost an admonishment he is giving both of them, but it also barely meets the requirement for “toast”. I love the next part, where they get into that goofy, slightly awkward moment of neither of them knowing when to stop drinking, and they both giggle at it. Finally, they have learned a little bit about how to do “drinking” together like regular friends. To me, that’s the lesson of the scene: they are hungry to learn about each other but they are so unpracticed and WAY too intense, that most of the conversation is awkward and sad. But they are practicing, and they ended up fine. when you look at the entire arc of the story, I think this scene is not so much about the building of a romantic love, but sort of the opposite: it’s a small but important step in them learning how to be regular friends out in the open, doing normal friend things and laughing at silly little friend things. But there is never any true joy in this show without some sorrow…this time the sorrow being brought by Gwang Il watching outside with jealous eyes that understand how significant it is that she is smiling. She probably hasn’t smiled gently since she and he were friends together as kids. He knows that. And he sees that somebody else can bring her something he never will be able to: happiness. OMG that’s such a sad button on the scene! Damn these writers! But it’s fantastic writing, and it sets up a payoff far later in the show.
Thanks for sharing your really interesting interpretation of this great scene.its just a testament to the writing and nuanced acting and directing that there's so much to discuss isn't it?🤔
Yes, agreed! I’m so grateful to you for putting so much love and effort into your scene reviews; they really depended my satisfaction of My Mister, and helped me process as well. I would not have thought through the scenes as thoroughly if you hadn’t made these videos. Thanks very much for that. One request for you, then: please watch “Twinkling Watermelon” and consider reviewing it as well? I think that Eun Gyeol in “Twinkling Watermelon”, if he doesn’t learn the lessons he’s supposed to learn on his journey, he turns into Dong Hoon when he grows up. :-).
Loving this series... I'd vote to see a breakdown of the first sequence where PDH talks to Ji An about what he does as a structural engineer. It's pretty key to his character. Looking forward to the next video!
Thank you for another episode scene review! Not only do I re-watch my favorite scenes in the drama itself, I now find myself re-watching your videos as well just to re-live those wonderful moments in the drama together with your analysis. :) What I loved about how they discussed her running is the context behind it: we so far saw her run a few times towards Dong Hoon, so the fact that it turned out to be her hobby is, at this point, a witty allusion. Running towards a love interest (together with the facial expression, the slow-mo, and accompanying soundtrack) is a tried and tested K drama trope. But in this case, the show stepped it up a bit by justifying that it is actually a hobby for her. Love the veiled humor they put on in there. ;) And they contrasted it further by having Ji An connote running in a negative way - she wants to disappear. But through the 3 times (up to that point in the show) that Ji An had run to Dong Hoon, it is not to disappear. Those times, it is to rush to a “turning-special” someone to save and/or appear to him. This contrast magnified the change we are slowly seeing in Ji An’s life, and what a wonderful way to portray it!
That was easily my favorite scene from episode 7. So beautiful for all the reasons you mentioned. I too thought about where her question about hiring her came from. I read it as she really wanted to know if he thought she was pretty, and was thrown by his answer, but it is perfect how the script left it ambiguous and then they have a laugh over a beer - and you're right - a minor moment in any other drama, yet monumental in this one. I'm just amazed by the writing of this drama and the acting - well, like the rest of us lol.
@@ManVsDrama I really enjoy watching your videos, although I don't speak English, I appreciate having RUclips subtitles to understand what you are saying with the help of the translator. I really like the analysis you make of each scene and I agree with your way of thinking. My Mister is also my favorite drama, I think that between Ji-An and Dong Hoon there is a special and true love. Hugs from México
The follow up conversation at the start of eps 8 is my favorite segment from that episode. Dong Hoon talks about inner forces and then mentions something along the lines of that these things that someone may believe are their inner forces, they start to crumble and they aren't really the true inner forces that keeps a person together. It's clear he's just talking about himself as his inner forces he believed was his family and career, both of which we know are falling apart. Ji An talks about the mundane seasons and how she hates all of them because it's the same thing over and over again every year. She also talks about being reincarnated 500 times, but in reality the same repetitive things happen over and over, hence why she asks why does she keep being reborn. No matter what she does, she can't live a new life/turn a new leaf, it's just the same vicious cycle every day for her and not really what the belief of reincarnation should be, which is starting a new life. The very end of eps 8 is quite good as well. Her discussion with the CEO at the bar about further plans, you can see purely from her reaction of disgust on her face at what he's suggesting she should do. The following scene at the train platform where she looks up and sees Dong Hoon staring off into space, there's no dialogue for a good minute, but you can clearly see in her eyes and expressions she's becoming very conflicted on whether she keeps going on with the CEOs plan or protect him, which then of course leads to the turning point in episode 9, one of the best episodes imo.
Yes that scene I love it too...and later scenes as well you're absolutely right...although I strongly believe at this stage in the drama she's only thinking of how she can protect dong hoon...she just keeps taking the money from the CEO to keep him thinking she's still working for him...at least that's what I believe🤔
@@ManVsDrama agreed, although up until the end of eps 8, she still meets with the CEO to see what he wants her to do and she still has a bit of conflict in her I feel. The slight flashback of her bar discussion with him as she stands alone on the platform before seeing Dong Hoon. In fact, I'd go as far to say at the end of eps 8, Dong Hoon becomes her inner force.
@@insertchannelnamex that's interesting...I read that because the CEO type said: "He likes you"...when she's standing there looking at DH I thought she's thinking about that...whether it's true or not...that it really means he likes her :-) but yeah...it could be read in different ways.
I love this dialogue from PDH as well when he compares the inner force to the outer force of a building to determine if it will stand or collapse and how people are the same. PDH is also helping to show Ji An that the things she might have thought would support her, money, power, don't have much strength. When she asks him then what does, he can't answer, but we know from watching the series that their love for each other is that force.
Hi love the way you breakdown the scenes, I was constantly going back because I missed some dialogue. But watching their expressions and connect they have is equally powerful. What a journey this drama is, and here I am obsessing watch more drama. Will watch My Mister, again soon, closer. Thanks for your time.
well...I agree with you..and it becomes somewhat explicit later on that Ji-An says:"I like him", "I like you"...and it's really just about whether one day Dong Hoon would find himself in a situation where he would/could requite her feelings..:-) which it obviously looks like deep inside he has feelings already.
I like that you noticed they keep silence for a while when drinking. Amazing you catch that, which I didnt! Yes, 행복하자 let's be happy is a right translation. This pharse was not what we normally say in conversation until one sad song with it got viral. Also in other episodes they often say 이번생 this time of life, which is also a new common expression in recent years. Since the words in this drama are so important and charming, I registered netflex only to check the subtitles but they dont provide English subtiltes in Korea. So disappointing.
Ahhh this is so interesting..thank you for adding this...i wondered about that...you might be able to see subtitles using a VPN....? Buy I am not the expert..thank you for adding this!
I wondered about that as well, it seems like things get lost in translation. I'm sure Park Hae Young was very specific in her word choice for the dialogue, wish I spoke Korean.
Great scene choice--their intimacy is off the charts. I have a cultural question for Korean viewers, because my understanding is that there is strict social etiquette surrounding alcohol in Korea (who pours, eye contact, turning away). So I'm curious how much romance is suggested in this scene by the manner in which they're drinking... It definitely looks cozy...
Answer might be too late. To Koreans, Ji an looks so rude in terms of drinking manner. Polite youngers don't pour by themselves in front of elders. And in the whole series of this TV show except last moment, she was always rude in korean manners, which shows uneducated and embarrassing backgrounds of JI An. But also the scene shows the change. In Korea, when someone make wishes, then they should drink all at once to achieve them. That's why they tried to drink all seeing each other. But that was too much to drink and made them laughing. For the first place, the glasses are for draft beer. Strange for bottled beer. Maybe to make this scene, writers might use the strange big glass.
Is the English subtitle saying "It was pretty charming" about the running in her resume? I think it was wrong because he says "Because your inner force looks strong", which continues to their later conversation about inner and outer force. I feel sad about all the missing when it is translated in English.
thank you so much for adding this...that makes so much sense because I remember her saying in the next episode that he said her "inner forces looked strong" but I don't remember him saying it before..that it explains it! Yes I sometimes wonder whether the subtitles are always on point..clearly in this case they weren't! Thank you!
I really like the scene you chose, especially when you say it's a quiet cliffhanger. I don't think I completely agree with your interpretation of Ji An's question. In my opinion, she only asks the question because she isn't sure what he really thinks of her: does he really think she's pretty? Did he just say it to say? And above all, what does it mean for him? But I still have to think about it ... This whole scene takes on even more meaning to me when executives tell Dong Hoon that at least no one will believe the rumors because she's not pretty, and when Joon Young tells her that Dong Hoon just needs to have dinner or drink together to "show love". Ps. This episod is so moving! I literally cried for almost every scene!
Yes I only thought of this interpretation more when I rewatched this short flashback scene over and over to make this video ...but yes...it could be a variety of reasons like so many moments in this drama..I think she might be hoping he thinks she's pretty at the same time she might have hated it if it turned out he only hired her because he thinks she's pretty..it's probably more related to their previous conversation when he said: I" also helped you once"it's just great how many layers you can peel back with so many scenes here 👍😁
A guy considering a girl being pretty in Korean culture can be the implication of seeing the girl as someone he "might" have a feeling for. I think the question of Jian about why Dong-hoon hire her is not really to know if he did that because he think she's pretty "specifically", but to know what's the reason behind the good things he did for her in general. May be she wanna know if he had feeling for her, may be she wanna verify if what he did start purely from his kindness or from his feeling towards her (like it's what a man should do for a girl he like), to me it make more sense because these two problem/questions had been solved/answered in the later episodes.
yes you're right...and it's also a call back to their last drinking meeting...when he gives her food for her grandma and says: "I also helped you once"...I just ended up speculating about more layers in the middle of this video..haha.
First, thx much for the wonderful review of your favorite scene of Ep. 7. Now regarding Ep. 8, this is one of the few episodes that don't seem to have a big emotional moment or a major pivotal point in the story (at least to me) and so it's not obvious which scene is the favorite of most people's. Judging from some of the comments, there may not even be one. My favorite is one that most people would likely disregard --- the scene of the family get-together to celebrate the mother's birthday. Although uneventful and seemingly very mundane, I found it fascinating. To me, the scene is exceptional for a few reasons. First it's very realistic -- this is how people typically behave in a family gathering. Second, although I know very little about script writing or literary arts in general, I find that the dialogue is very well written; the conversations among the family members were not only realistic but also deep and meaningful. Another reason is that it also keeps the plot moving (the wife furtively contacting the CEO after dinner). And then there are some small but sweet and touching moments as well, which I like (Sang hoon giving money to his wife and mother, and Gi hoon to his mother). Anyway, that's my two cents. I'm curious as to which scene you will choose for your next video. It would be great if it's the same as mine, because I would like to hear your thoughts on it. Can't wait! 😃
I do believe they actually gave IU real beer rather than a pseudo drink. I saw some outtakes and yeah she was getting real beer. In reference to her safety blanket of depression, she might not think that she can have a life. That weight from her past puts a cloud over any thoughts of a future.
yeah..it's very realistic...it. happens to people all the time. I have a friend who I think has massive potential to achieve all kinds of things...but she doesn't yet see it herself...it's heartbreaking when people have experienced others putting them down all their lives and they've started believing it.
@@ManVsDrama Eaves dropping has also given Ji An some self confidence. She now knows PDH finds her pretty. After a beat down by Lee Kwang Il, she's barely holding it together. But clutching her phone in hand she plays PDH saying "you are nice" over and over again, it's heart breaking and affirming at the same time. Ironic, how the tool she is using to destroy PDH and his colleague, ends up saving her. And eventually for Lee Kwang Il to save everyone.
@@ManVsDrama I don't know if I'm misremembering it, but in earlier episodes when they are eating and drinking together the director frames the shot, often from outside, with a window frame separating them. That frame is gone in this episode, they are no longer divided.
do you mean rewatching like reacting to every episode? does patreon not have copyright regulations? is it something you see there more regularly? or do you have to cut it every 20 seconds like you have to on youtube most of the time?
@@ManVsDrama yes, i meant whole episode reaction video. It seems okay to put on patreon. Patreon is subscriber only access platform, so i guess they just get away with it. I have found quite few youtube creators uploads kdrama or movie reactions on patreon.
As in any other languages, there are, especially in Korean, expressions with very subtle nuances that are difficult to translate into English. Anyway, the Korean expression translated as "pretty-looking girl" here is more often used by older people to describe younger ones, like babies. And I think he talks this way for the same reason why he started hugging when Jian asked if she could hug him when they said goob-bye to each ogther in episode 16.
@@ManVsDramaDong-hoon knows that he is being saved by Ji-an and that wanting to help Ji-an find comfort in her life is a different kind of love than usual. But he must have been trying to stop himself and especially Jian from falling into a big-age-gap romantic relationship. He might have thought it wouldn't bring both of them more than the way he chose. So, after the dynamics were completely reversed (on his side, he fully restored his confidence as an Ajossi) in the scene where he gave her the information on the free nursing home system in Ep 7, he's tied himself up to this mature middle-aged man role all the time.
Her foremost motivation was to get through the day, not thinking about her appearance or what she's capable of if she's given a chance so i think in that scene she felt self-pity in a way that need assurance from another person. I don't think she thinks herself pretty and he called her ''pretty looking girl'', she never worked for a company like that and all of sudden she get accepted so she wanted to hear more about what he thinks of her or what he sees in her.
I find this commentary slightly 2 dimensional. This relationship between them is not necessarily romantic. There are multiple facets to relationships and not everything needs to be seen as romance. Also, just cause someone says "pretty one" does not mean they are attracted to them. In this case perhaps "pretty one" is one of the ways to describer her to the hotel manager.
He previously had said to her that "she was nice" when he had carried her grandma back to the apartment. Now he describes her as the "pretty-looking one" to the restaurant owner. In a future episode his son asks him "is mom pretty or nice?" to which he replies, "she's excellent." The uncle explains to the son that is what you call someone who is both pretty and nice. It seems intentional in the dialogue to eventually make this comparison with Ji-An and his wife as the series progresses.
I love the scene where they are in the metro going home and he casually tells her how to fix the problem with her grandma. Just like that he changed her life. And in top of that they go to dinner

- The To-go box: While Donghoon's act itself is touching, the acting of Jian's grandmother with such gratitude and the chemistry between her and Jian are just beyond precious

Thanks...yes that walk and talk is quite something...ep8 is going to be an interesting challenge! 🤔
@@ManVsDrama yes... It was hard for me to choose, I can't immagine your struggle 😅
I was long waited for EP7!!! Ji-Ahn's short smile melt my heart downed. "Let' be happy" is perfect translation of original script. In Korean drinking culture, If someone prays something and toasts, They should empty their cups. But this time they already drink so lot before...:-)
"It was pretty charming" is not direct translation. What DH says is "I think you have strong internal-force" (You know next episode's conversation about Internal-Force and External-Force?)
Yes I now finally understand this...always wondered whether I missed a previous convo in the next episode!thank you! 👍😉
Thank you for clarifying this. I too wondered if I missed a previous conversation. A lot gets lost in translation. I don’t understand a word of Korean but it is my favourite thing on screen. Please be around and give us the right translations for every episode. Thanks Ted
@@deepikaghosh7824 Yes, I feel sorry for the loss of meaning in Korean as the scripts are translated into English...
Back to that in a moment…
First, she asks why he hired her.

This was the best, sweetest, most touching scene in the whole drama. Thanks for your insightful review! I love your reviews.
Thanks...it's a pleasure trying my best!
Great breakdown, this drama was incredible and this scene is a great pick!
thanks for your comments and for watching!
Loving this series... I'd vote to see a breakdown of
the first sequence where PDH talks to Ji An about what he does as a structural engineer. It's pretty key to
his character. Looking forward to the next video!
Mmmhhh thank you for your vote! lets see how it turns out! :-)
Thank you for another episode scene review! Not only do I re-watch my favorite scenes in the drama itself, I now find myself re-watching your videos as well just to re-live those wonderful moments in the drama together with your analysis. :)
What I loved about how they discussed her running is the context behind it: we so far saw her run a few times towards Dong Hoon, so the fact that it turned out to be her hobby is, at this point, a witty allusion. Running towards a love interest (together with the facial expression, the slow-mo, and accompanying soundtrack) is a tried and tested K drama trope. But in this case, the show stepped it up a bit by justifying that it is actually a hobby for her. Love the veiled humor they put on in there. ;)
And they contrasted it further by having Ji An connote running in a negative way - she wants to disappear.
Great points...and I love that you're rewatching one or two of my videos👍😜
That was easily my favorite scene from episode 7. So beautiful for all the reasons you mentioned. I too thought about where her question about hiring her came from. I read it as she really wanted to know if he thought she was pretty, and was thrown by his answer, but it is perfect how the script left it ambiguous and then they have a laugh over a beer - and you're right - a minor moment in any other drama, yet monumental in this one. I'm just amazed by the writing of this drama and the acting - well, like the rest of us lol.
Thanks for sharing. Really appreciate your thoughts as someone who similarly loves this drama
My pleasure 😊

@@insertchannelnamex And she his.
Yes do.it gets better everytime I watch..thanks for adding this!👍
Idk how people can watch this scene and say there's no romance involved between Ji-An and Dong-Hoon.
well...I agree with you..and it becomes somewhat explicit later on that Ji-An says:"I like him", "I like you"...and it's really just about whether one day Dong Hoon would find himself in a situation where he would/could requite her feelings..:-) which it obviously looks like deep inside he has feelings already.
That song is Zion.T's Yanghwa Bridge isn't it ?
@@enquiem3051 i think so ^^
@@enquiem3051 I believe the song is called there's a rainbow by Vincent Blue...?
I love this
Thanks me too.check out the rest of the series and let me know what you think 👍😁
Is the English subtitle saying "It was pretty charming" about the running in her resume? I think it was wrong because he says "Because your inner force looks strong", which continues to their later conversation about inner and outer force.
I feel sad about all the missing when it is translated in English.
Yeah, inner strength is the more accurate translation, not charming. I guess the translator misunderstood the word.
The translator seems to have mistaken naeryuk( inner force) for maeryuk(charm).
thank you so much for adding this...that makes so much sense because I remember her saying in the next episode that he said her "inner forces looked strong" but I don't remember him saying it before..that it explains it! Yes I sometimes wonder whether the subtitles are always on point..clearly in this case they weren't! Thank you!
The Viki translation is different from the Netflix translation too. Doesn't say 'inner force' but it was closer than 'charm'.
Pffff the same thing happened in Spanish, I’m trying to see this drama in different streamings because all said different things! Ahhhh
Can't wait! 😃
agree with your observations about the mum's birthday...it is ultra realistic and subtly meaningful...mmmh...I guess it will be tricky again! :-)

And what do you think that reason is?
I am amaze that she is drinking real beer and getting high.
lol...you could see it in her face- she looked endearingly flushed! I would never drink real alcohol on set....haha well, it worked! 👍🙂
Thanks..you describe it really well!
