I personally don't believe that you can oversecure your load. You seem to have the same way of doing your loads. I've seen loads that weren't secured properly because the driver was either being lazy or in a hurry and skimped on the number of chains or straps and when the truck ended up on it's side the load blew out all over the road. On the other hand I've seen oversecured loads that when the truck went over ,the load stayed bound to the trailer. Ya gotta secure for the worst possible situation. Thats someone elses family you could kill out there on the hiway wit you!

Man I had the same thing happened to me in the front they was going outward but it was because the forklift guy was new and he didn’t load it right but luckily it’s light I pushed them back in and got on down the road
i ran outta there. was that hamptonburgh, NY? i ran outta there with TMC as well. i did a lot of johns mansfield outta allentown, pa as i live right near there and ran it up to lowell massachusetts.

I learned by watching other drivers and asking questions, common sense, trial and error. You know everything’s a lesson out here if we’re smart enough to see it and take from it. TMC didn’t reach me anything. I went in as an experienced driver to TMC so I didn’t have to do their securement and orientation. Basically self taught through others. Hey when u had that experience when the load shifted with the 1 strap on the insulation. How did u end up fixing it? Did u have to go back to the shipper and reload it.
It cases like those whats the solution?
Great question. In my case the load shifted but not enough to where it was a problem. I pulled over tightened it down and re-threw some straps and kept it moving. If the load shifted to the point I was uneasy or thought product would fall off the bed, company guys- I’d suggest to pull over and call the your company and they will call a wrecker or a company that has a cherry picker, or a forklift and they would need to come out to you and get it done. O/O will have to call a wrecker company or forklift/recovery company direct and work it out with them.
I’d also suggest getting to the nearest rest area if possible or the safest location where you can pull the truck over and still have room for the lifts to come and help you out without impeding traffic or getting in the way of anyone else. That will be an entirely different bill to handle and could result in some fines as well.

Why is the strap twisted isn’t that bad ?
No that’s not bad. When a load is 8ft or taller I twist my straps to deflect the wind. Stops them from loosening down the road and fluttering in the wind. Good question.

Hey man, love your videos. I start school next Monday, and TMC is one of the companies that comes to visit. What's your opinion on them being a first company? I want to go flat bed right off the bat, and I was really considering them.
Where did you get your edge protector tool?
Amazon but it’s only the head. The pole is a telescopic pole from Home Depot. You can make the head yourself from pvc. I have a video that shows you how if you don’t already know. Peace and God Bless.
