The True Hero of Lord of the Rings is *Bilbo Baggins* (The Bravest Little Hobbit of Them All). Not only did he inspire Frodo and the other Hobbits with his adventurous stories from his journey with Thorin's Company, not only did he carry the One Ring for over 60 years only to willingly give it up, but also for sparing Smeagol's life, thus assuring that his obsession would drive him to Mount Doom, and thus, cemented its destruction.
I think Tolkien saw Sam as the hero because he was a classicist and the classic epics were never finished until the hero gets home, sets everything right and settles in. Frodo doesn’t go home in the end as he heads West, but Sam does.
Gandalf. Was willing to die twice, discovered Sauron and forced his plan early, helped dwarves at Erabor recapture their homeland defeating Smaug, and discovered the ring was the ring of power from the beginning and set the plan to destroy it.
The everyman, Sam. He gave up the ring. Frodo never relinquished the ring. Sam never wanted the ring. He didn't volunteer to carry it. Frodo did. Frodo has to have a bit of arrogance to believe he can overcome it's powers to carry it.
I think is Gandalf for the hope: council of foncimb, Mines of Moria, Balrog, Theoden Rohan, Win Sakhuman, and Protector of Minasterith become the Army Of Aragorn, ❤ The Two is Aragorn: protect Frodon and the Hobbit of the Nine Sorcellers, Council of Foncomb Mine Moria, Forest Saving from Hurukai. The Battle of Helm with Theoden, the friendship with the Army of Ghost and win the last battle. Gandalf its first in hope And Aragorn Army. Gandalf win. No hope no win. 3 Legolas for the same of Gandalf and Aragorn fusion ❤😂 Peace

He constantly withheld crucial information 🤔
Sam. Sam’s the hero
tbh I don't fully disagree
Sam who else all really even Frodo even though he failed in the end he carried the burden of the ring.

Thank you for sharing!
No Problem!
All of them. That's literally the point of the story. They all do heroic things and are all heroic in their own way.
sam
