Carinove literally eliminated my menstrual cramps, etc. I have no doubt it would improve PCOS symptoms. Going back to eating rice and potatoes just isn't worth it to me. 🤷🏾♀️
I’ve always added avocado on carnivore but I’ve always included mackerel in olive oil on this diet. Fasting and MCT oil to trick the mitochondria into not storing fat seems to be a good combination to a carnivore or at least introduce the carnivore toward the end of a reduction diet.
After lifting and experimenting with diet over the years, I’m of the strong conclusion that the food science “data” mostly does not apply to bodybuilders. We are running on a different operating system, we don’t live like the average, we have more muscle than average, are more active than average, more metabolically healthier than average. The data is run on the average. Food will not act the same way inside someone who follows the bodybuilding lifestyle and nutritional needs will not be the same.
There is diet advice for regular people, there's dietary advice for athletes/bodybuilders and then there are sick people. I have the theory that for healthy casuals the recommended diets are correct. Bodybuilders can deal with more excesses and sick people are a free for all when it comes to what causes problems and what can help.
Im at around 180-200g of protein per day at 172lbs bodyweight and the he carbs and fat change nostly due to lifestyle/work etc. The main reason the protein can be quite high is simply its what i like to eat. Find it hard to eat starchy carbs in any volume but when i do for fueling purposes (on a bit of a bulk right now) the change in energy and strength is immediate. People seem to be demonizing carbs a lot lately but with the right choices it becomes the healthiest and most efficient fuel.
people have demonized carbs for a long time now. it's ridiculous. and then if you follow up on all these people who were staunch anti carbs about 10-15 years ago and now look at what they eat... You'll see many learned and do eat carbs. I remember once being called a 'contrarian' simply for stating that 'carbs are NOT 'bad for you' lol
For me personally I always do best on a low carb diet. I eat less than 50ga day. Now its even lower because I eat carnivore. I am finding this diet really easy to do. I am not starving all the time like I was when I ate just low carb. I eat my last meal at 4pm and my first at 8am. So I am actually intermittent fasting too. I lose about 1-2 pounds averaged out, some weeks more some less. I feel good.
Being deliberately hurt/abused by a malevolent person will definitely change you and will strip away your innocence and any naivity you had. It will harden you but it will also make you a stronger person if you can somewhat come to terms with what happened
One more thing I noticed if you are looking for healthy fats you will find them in animals especially red meat. Red meat has all the vitamins and minerals that the human body needs.. don't shun me I'm not a big time carnivore or anything. It's biological and we've known this for decades Anyone remember your parents telling you you are what you eat? Well that's essentially true and our whole body cellular level down to our DNA are derived and made from proteins and saturated fats. And if you are a true carnivore the body can produce its own carbs as it's needed also it's important to keep insulin levels low. Thanks again.
I've done low calory "balanced" diets and felt like shit. Now that I tried a ketogenic diet to support a family member I just feel better overall while being in a deficit. It's not that I'm saying there's some magic happening and I don't have studies to prove it, but all I can say is at least try it for a month. If it works great, if it does not then it doesn't
I really feel for carnivores and ketovores. They're people that believe it or not are fairly active with trying to improve their health and lifestyles (all credit to them) but they're so misinformed it's crazy. The tunnel vision could end up making them very sick in the long run. I personally have family members that have become rather unhealthy after starting carnivore diets, but they just won't listen when i tell them to eat fruit and veges, and to not put half a block of butter on their already fatty steaks 🤦♂️😮💨

Fiber is 100% a nutrient, and if you actually listen to Dr. Paul Mason, his claims about fiber are that it doesn’t have enough nutritional value to support optimal health alone. His arguments are more so against vegan or vegetarian-based diets, which I completely agree with. However, to say fiber isn’t a nutrient is like saying T4 or T3 isn’t a hormone.
@JonniShreve a nutrient is a substance that is "required" for growth or to sustain life. Fiber doesn't do that for humans. The fiber requirement for humans is absolutely 0 at all times. Fiber is more of a nutrient for bacteria and bacteria eat fiber to make saturated fat for herbivores like cows. Humans on the other hand eat the saturated fat directly because we dont have a cecum and we dont absorb nutrient in our colon where fiber is fermented in humans. Fiber is indigestable and adds waste to the colon in humans. It's not essential for optimal health in humans. It's also abrasive to the gut lining which cause inflammation unnecessarily
@JonniShreve well I say this very seriously because it causes alot of issues in ppl. I would like to have a friendly conversation about it because I help many ppl in the real world with these things. Why do you feel fiber is beneficial what's special about it in ur view?
People with diabetes, or crones, or Ibs, are different cases and do not make up the majority of the population. same with those who are schizogenic as that's what diets like keto were created for. We are talking about the fortunately nutritionally healthy people who don't have to eat specific diet. and Balanced diet is just that balanced.

1) They haven't reversed it, they're managing it, by cutting out junk food (obviously beneficial for everyone) & addressing the symptom (excess sugar), not the cause (excess fat), while actually worsening the cause/disease. 2) Many have truly reversed it by addressing the cause simply by losing weight (lowering their body fat percentage), or eating a low fat / high carb diet. 3) True ketosis has many health benefits, and it's achieved with a water fast, not by a diet mimicking it with many negative effects. 4) There is a lot of misinformation because there are many mafias (fast food, big ag & pharma, diet industry) dependent on people being clueless, fat & sick.
