    Love this fight... I love when people say "If you put one of these MMA fighters in with a trained boxer/kickboxer under boxing rules, he'll get his ass kicked." Jackson is a badass. Abidi may be decent himself, but this just shows that that's not always true.

      9.5/10 x a top 5 mma fighter loses to a top 5 boxer in boxing. Ngannou seemed to be the exception but Fury didn't take that fight seriously and lost mainly due to underestimating Ngannou and not having any respect for his power

    Hey, speaking of tough guys who went from one fighting sport to another, anyone remember around this time (2003 or 2004 possibly) when boxer Mighty Mo came on the scene of k-1 and made it to the World Grand Prix?
    It was nice to always see someone who wasn't a kickboxer naturally come in like Jackson, Mo, and Marvin Eastmen (marvin could kickboxing, but he was more of an MMA fighter).

    These two wins right here are my favorite part of Quinton Rampage Jackson 's career, he defeated Cyril twice, who on all accounts should have won this fight because he was a better fighter.

    Cant wait to see the fight. Vitor is even more explosive and has a pretty good chin. A guy who has fought as 3 weight classes im dieing on knowing what exactly is his tactic for Silva. I hope he grapples, defends Silva's clinch and brings him down for ground n pound. Or i just wanna see a stand-up contest!

  • @81carlos

    9 years undefeated after his only "loss" in 2000. I don't know who else has done this in MMA. Did you watch Fedor's most recent fight? He was a lot more bloody and cut than when he "lost" due to a scratch by comparison. That was here in the states and they didn't stop it. Randy Couture himself says Fedor is the best and even wanted to get out of his UFC contract so he can fight him. He also said Fedor would destroy Brock with his brutal strikes and submissions and would outsmart Lesnar.

  • @81carlos
    @81carlos 14 лет назад

    Very well said. Silva has also lost to opponents much smaller than himself and by submission, which is more embarrassing than being ko'd because you make the decision to stop the fight instead of the ref. Andersons never been ko'd. But I think Vitor has the power and skill to be the first one. Silve has to be tactical and careful not to get caught if he wants to beat Vitor.

    Rashad Evans, Wanderlei Silva , and Royce Gracie have all beaten heavyweights already. So he has to accomplish something that no one has done before. He already holds the record for the longest undefeated streak in UFC history. But Fedor Emelianenko holds the record for longest undefeated streak in MMA history! Maybe if he becomes the first man to defeat Machida and take the Light-heavyweight title. We'll see...

  • @81carlos
    @81carlos 14 лет назад

    Rampage checked a few kicks here and there. It looks as though he was trying to knee Abidi's leg as Abidi was throwing his kicks. Try kicking someone's knee with your shin or foot. It hurts the person kicking more than the one kneeing. Timing is the key.

    クリントン選手が凄いのは、アビディ選手のローキックを結構まともに受けているのに、最後まで前に前に出てくるところ。
    昔からアメリカ人&ボクサータイプはローキックで簡単に動きを止められるが定説でしたが、クリントン選手には通用しなかったですね!
    最も完全なボクサーだったボタ選手でさえ、ローキックで倒せませんでしたからアビディ選手のローキックの威力が見た目ほどないのかもしれませんが…

    Rampage is just sucking in those kicks but its amazing that he can continue fighting like nothing happened.
    Fedor in my opinion is the worlds best MMA fighter. He has been beaten once with an ileagal elbow.
    Some peole complaine and call Fedor a coward because he doesn't fight UFC figters. The reason behind this is because Dana Whites comes with a one sided deal. Fedor wants there to be a deal which benefits both partiesl

  • @veprman
    @veprman 16 лет назад

    Me too. Some people just think these pure strikers are almost invicable. And they always say under boxing rules or K1 rules so and so would get his ass kicked. Well why should the MMA guy have to take away 50 percent of his skills. The pure striker should man up and fight under MMA rules if he's so bad ass.

  • @LuqmanNaq
    @LuqmanNaq 14 лет назад

    @cdnp4 I think you need to watch the knockout again, he was out from the first punch. Fedor's style is infighting, if you look at a many of his fights he looks like it's an even fight and then he get's the win by submission or TKO. Seriously, watch his fights with arlovski, coleman and randleman, pretty even til the finish. Fedor isn't a counter fighter like Machida or A Silva, or a dominating wrestler like GSP. They even joke about that on MMA fan sites 'fedor would have lost if he didn't win'

    Theres two sides to a story, anyone Fedor signs with wants that company to co-promote with M-1 Global. No serious business man is going to merge with a company that generates exponentially smaller revenue than his own. It's bad for business, well, it'd be good for M-1 anyway. I agree with Dana in saying that taking a shot his business is not worth 1 man.

    シリル選手は、俺も好きです。格好良いし、スタイルも抜群。この時履いている短パン(ユニフォーム?)もデザイン格好良い。好きですね。でも、この姿でニックマレー選手に勝ったのみで、あとはクイントン選手に派手にK.O.負けし、その後はボブ・サップ選手には、完全に恐がって失禁寸前まで追い詰められ、サップ選手のパンチ連打を食らい、何も出来ずに見るも無惨な姿を皆の前に晒して、トラウマになる位負けて更に、短パンの履き方少し変えて(普通ならボブ・サップ選手にあんな負け方喫したら、勝負短パン変えるよ。準備が間に合わなかったのかな?もう履きたくない?か、あの短パン姿でもう一度勝ちたかったのか?中で、しかも完全に怯えてたボブ・サップ選手の見てる前では、冷静に試合できず(泣))同じクイントン選手相手にまた負け、逆にあの短パン姿が可哀想です。しかも、この後ボブ・サップ選手の軍門に下る型で、短パンも練習着のまま、あんな小型の選手と試合させられる。また素敵な短パンに、変えて試合するも、負けてばかり。本当に可哀想な選手ですね。

    LOL. You can tell Rampage wants to slam him so hard a couple times in this fight. I hate being in The States sometimes. Japan has so many more options in terms of combat sports. What's more, they don't seem to bogart talent like we do. There's all kinds of crossover promotions and things like this. Dana White would probably literally leash fighters if it could be cleared legally.

  • @BarelyLegal23
    @BarelyLegal23 13 лет назад

    @Warren Any deal revolving ufc co-promoting with another company I think is bad for the sport. Dana White is trying to run MMA by looking at where Boxing went wrong. Promoters like Don King have ruined boxing by making the fighters bigger then the sport to the point where many of Boxing's BIG fights aren't going to happen like mayweather vs Pacman. Add that to the fact that they don't overpay fighters (350,000 is the most for lesnar) and making so many weight classes also helps. I could be wrong

    If u really think, Silva is a very big MW fighter and a great size LHW. Fedor is always smaller then the HWs he fights. Silva is entertaining only in that fight wit Forrest. It just showed how overrated Forrest is, and made it look like he took a dive. He barely beat Rampage, and choked out a injuryed shogun. Silva hasnt fought alot of big names. He fought rich, hendo, and Forrest. Only guy he truly had a problem was Hendo. However he will fight Vitor a fighter who should now be in his prime.

    Chuck, Wanderlie, Randy's still ok but should retire anyway, Forrest Griffin is starting to show the wear and tear of brawling. Look what happened to Ken Shamrock and Don Frye. They nearly ended each others careers when they fought and were never the same. Don Frye had his ankle broken and Ken's head was disfigured where you could hardly recognize him. Same with his fight against Tito and Franklin. Even WWE wrestlers get brain damage and concussions from all of those chair shots. It's inevitable

    Fedor is a buisiness man now and is looking out for his future. What's he going to do when he retires? Probably promote other fighters and keep making himself money! Dana White doesn't like fighters who are independent and can take care of themselves because he has no control over them. Why didn't he have a heavyweight go over to Japan and challange Fedor when he was champ over there? Because he tried that with Chuck and was humiliated by Rampage. I don't think Dana ever went back after.
