Saying a bunch of bad things to make people think they apply. Boston is one of the few cities that hasn't seen a rise in crime, and is a lot safer than most Republican led cities. The opioid crisis hit here too, but not as bad as a lot of places. The taxes are about in the middle of the country. Affordable housing is a big issue in Boston, but you didn't even mention it, because you did zero research. You clicked on a video, didn't watch it, and left your usual comment.

I agree that the overall crime rate in Boston hasn’t increased nearly as much as other cities. Not sure why. Maybe Governor baker has kept the city from totally going the way of places like Seattle. Maybe it’s the colder weather.
The city is going to continue to have affordable housing issues because Wu’s support base is college students and NIMBYs. College students just care about who offers the most social justice while NIMBYs own homes and want to do things to actively avoid property depreciation.
Don't forget what the Catholic church did there with all of those cases...80 or 90 in just the 80s..

First of all, Democrats run the top 11 cities in population which makes this hard to even compare apples to apples. Only 25 Republicans in the top 100 and 3 in the top 30... the bigger the city, the higher the crime period. Plus if you go back 30 years the list of top 30 cities was much much different until DEMOCRATS ran them into the ground. Baltimore, Detroit, Atlanta, Louisville, New Orleans ( which in part was due to the hurricanes but both really) but nonetheless Democrats openly call for policies that lead to higher crime rate. If you don't know that as being true then you really don't research. Defunding the police, no bail reform, catch and release, failure to prosecute serious crimes, open drug policies, open border policies which lead to more unchecked people coming into your town, and government aid.. I really don't even know how you try to make this argument that someone else isn't doing research when you clearly don't understand what's happening in 2022. Let's say I'll give you that Boston is safe comparatively to lost Republican led cities.. but New York, LA, Seattle, Portland, Detroit, Baltimore, Philadelphia, San Francisco, basically most major west coast cities and east coast cities. Jacksonville, Fort Worth, Oklahoma City, Omaha are the top Republican cities led cities. Great places to live..

When was that? I visited in the ‘80’s and thought it a disaster.
There’s still nice areas, mostly the areas that grease the city’s palms with tax revenue. But even places like downtown crossing are sketchy places to be at night. I remember walking through at midnight once and thinking I had entered some sort of “28 days later” simulator.
