Thank you
How long would it take without the timelapse being on?
Oh cool. Thanks. Looks too cool to not have !
Thanks for printing my Drippy Bucket!
Hey Dave.....I have enjoyed making cool color combinations with it! If you check out my Shorts videos, I have some striped ones I made! People love them! Thanks for such a fun file!
I love the creativity. Stellar work!
Awesome design dude
Perfect for small paint brushes!
Yes! Making another one now for a painter. This would also be so cute in a kid's art room!
The spill makes it look even better you should print it!
I'll have to try that sometime.
The print quality is so smooth it hurts my soul, having a beginner printer and having to sand everything.
This machine is a game changer for sure!
What printer do you have?
@@imapotato5927 if you are asking me, I have a Bambu X1-Carbon
You can still see the lines and line shifts, the camera and youtube compression did the good job hiding them.
@@patek2385 The matte filsment has more to do with the smoothness and visible lack of the layer lines, Polymaker's Polyterra filament is the bees knees!
VERY nice! I will have this 3D printer before the end of the year!❤
Good choice , the X1 Carbon is a great printer
You will love it!
The X1 Carbon and AMS are awesome but I suspect within a year there may well be something even better!
Awesome, I wish I had the money to get a X1
It's so nice!!!
You cold get a p1s which is basically the same but less sensors for 1000 dollars, an a1 for 350 dollars or an a1mini for 250 dollars. They all have exeptional quality
P1S is on sale for $600 at the moment. I grabbed one (with an AMS) and am loving it.
@@maximthemagnificent i bought it one month before the sapes for the price that the x1C is now on sale. I could have spent the same money and got the x1c
I love it! I'm going to print one for my wife.
I've printed all kinds of color combinations of them for people!!
I really like that!
So clean
Fascinating 🎉
It's probably my favorite thing I've printed yet!
So creative
That is pretty cool, nice!
Love this model, I made an account and subscribed.
Most likely I will buy my first 3d-printer soon, in a few hours the embargo lifts off the Bambu Lab A1 non mini combo, I hope it presents a good value and a good product.
I love my X1-Carbon! I plan to shoot more videos about it soon!
Nice 🔥
Silver silk look even better for this one :)
Nice design 👍
Wish I could take credit....not my design.
Sweet as candy.
Smooth!
That’s awesome
Very nice 👍
Thank you 👍
Running one off on my vzbot right now. Bucket took 3hr 15min handle took 15min. Got the insert going now.
Wife is going to use it for her little paint brushes.
it took so long because you have the timelapse settings on
That did add to the time.
i have layershifts how do yours turn out so good...
Cool 😎
i think im gonna buy the ender 3 v3 soon, i have the ender 3 v2 and have had it for about a year, the ender 3 v3 is a really nice printer for its price with a 600mm/s print speed
What speed did you used to print it?
I left it on default settings....honestly don't even know what speed that is!
With how long it took, probably 60mm/s with low acceleration. But that's why it looks impeccable.
Did you get your time lapses with the built-in camera in the bamboo labs X1 carbon? Cause I’m looking to buy me one in the next couple of weeks and most of the time lapse as I seen were really just a sped up video you could see the print head moving all around and I really like the cleanliness of, how yours came out I’m hoping I can use the built-in camera to get time lapses like this
Yes, this was from the built-in camera. There are 2 timelapse settings. The "traditional" timelapse is what you are talking about. What I did here was choose the "smooth" timelapse. It moves the head to the back corner after every layer and takes a photo at that point. That way the head isn't in the way. It does make your overall print time a little longer, but it looks cool! :)
The finish right off the printer seems really nice, although the soft lighting setup you used helps hide layer lines it still seems great regardless!
What layer height were you using? And how is your experience with he quality coming off this machine, im considering buying to a better printer instead of constantly upgrading my anycubic i3.
Anyone used this printer extensively i’d greatly appreciate a quick few words about it thanks!
Nice observation! For the assembly shots, I did use a small softbox. But yeah, overall...the lines are very minimal in appearance! The print quality on this printer is very good. I have had tremendous results with mostly the default settings in BambuStudio. I have printed everything at the 0.2 mm layer height. I've printed lots of stuff since I have had the printer and I have no complaints!! I use the PEI textured plate and never use anything on the plate other than a quick isopropyl alcohol clean between prints.
Hit me up on Instagram jay_malone and I'll be happy to send you some pictures.
Awesome print. Mutable music. Consider Pond5, it's a little too obvious this track is royalty free
What software do people use to mock up designs like this?
blender for art or any CAD program for functional prints
Where can I get that print file!!! Would love it for my pens at the office. Neat!
Check the video description for the link. It is on Printables.
@@malonecustomdesigns❤
Isn't the Bambu X1 Carbon supposed to be fast?? I've made bigger prints that took half the time it took to make that little pencil holder.
I need one of these bambu lab printers
I only question having the handle on it. If it's a pencil holder it looks like they would interfere with the handle to sound euldnt be able to use it that easy. As an ahsteatic it's fine I guess.
Yes, the handle is mostly for looks.
Hello What is the nozzle number you used for this product? 0.2 or 0.4 and what is the filament you used?
0.4 Nozzle with pretty much all default settings. Both colors in this one was Sunlu filament from Amazon. amzn.to/45QcGA5
Nice! I’ve just got an X1 Carbon. Was that printed with standard settings from printables? Or did you tweak then? The finish is fantastic.
Sorry, I'm just now responding. We have been moving our business to a new location and got behind on RUclips! :)
I really don't think I tweaked anything. This just prints fantastic for me!
Your print settings seem slow. Is that on purpose?
All default settings. I know that I could speed it up.....but I have so many perfect prints with nearly no failures....so I keep it on default settings normally lol.
@@malonecustomdesigns Your reasoning is perfectly fine. However, if you haven't already I'd suggest poking into the wall / perimeter count, top / bottom layer count, infill type / percent and layer height. These settings will drastically boost or slow speed without affecting print quality. For example, 0.12mm layer height will be 40-60% slower than 0.18mm height, with both prints looking very similar other than the layer stacking at close inspection. I hope I'm not explaining something you already know, I figure I'd just put it out there. I personally keep all the speed settings default, but will always change walls, top bottom layers, infill and layer height on a per model basis.
@@kyle8575 No worries!!! Yeah, I actually have changed the walls and infill. I've kept layer height and speed on default. But for that print...it was all on default! :)
If you have the AMS why not just print in 1 piece? looks good JW
Thanks. If this file was re-designed, I'm sure that would be possible. However, with all of the filament changes...not sure sure it would save any time.
That would waste a lot of material and maybe even time for the filament changes...
what material is it?
did design snap fit into the blue liquid dropping kind of thingy
PLA. Yes, it snaps on. We tried removing the drip and broke it. It fits that good.
Why didn't you print multicolor?
This particular file isn't designed to be printed in one piece or else I could have. The "paint color" runs all the way down inside the "can" so if I were to print this in one piece with multiple colors...it would take a LOT LONGER considering all of the filament changes. Also, it would waste a ton of filament. So this seems to wok better for me. Also you can print different inserts to slide into the can depending on what you need.
What did you put on the cold plate so that the first layer would come out well?
Nothing. This is the textured PEI build plate from Bambu. It works like a charm with nothing added!
Koo indeed my good sir. Qould yall with a bambu carbon or creaLity k1 carbon?
uhhh if you are asking what printer this is its the X1 Carbon
I don't print on a bamboo, I use a Prusa, but I am still sure that could have been done much faster and with less materiaal.
Are you going to share this design? It is perfect for the kids.
Not my design..but here is the link. www.printables.com/model/73258-drippy-bucket-with-divider-insert
When you print something like that how many walls do you set to print 3?
I have printed both 2 & 3 walls. 2 walls saves a little time and seems to work just fine.
Feel like you would sell alot of these if you sold just the STL file for others to print.
I didn't make the file. The STL is free on Printables. www.printables.com/model/73258-drippy-bucket-with-divider-insert
How do you record your 3-D prints like that? That’s cool
The Bambu X1 Carbon has a timelapse feature.
I’m having an issue can you help me with. I’m trying to print a 2.0inch round by 2.0inch tall diameter in PLA, but my part is coming out 1.990 and the other side is 2.005. How can i get this dimensions closer and round. I tried the XY compensation but no luck
What layer height are you printing at?
@@malonecustomdesigns .2
Keep in mind that when you print at .2 mm, your object sizing should be divisible by .2 I always make all of my projects sized to mm and it can't be 3.5 mm it either has to be 3.4 or 3.6 to work with a .2mm layer height. Not sure this is your problem.....but just something to keep in mind.
@@malonecustomdesigns that’s a great tip!! I am doing some test runs today , should i slow down the acceleration or it won’t affect anything ? I’m using default speeds
@@cheizaguirre5494 To be completely honest....I run everything on default settings except for when I adjust walls or infill.
What settings did you use for bridges? .2 layer height?
Yes .2 layer height. I used all default settings.
How much is running costs for something like this, as 9 hours to make? I haven’t taken the plunge and bought a printer yet
But can you make money at selling items ?
Electricity cost of running a machine like this is so small...you would probably never notice any increase in electric cost with one machine. So your filament cost is your largest factor. You do want to make sure you have commercial rights to sell certain files, but yes, people are making lots of money 3D printing. Myself....I print mostly for fun, but do make some sales. For instance, I have been selling an item for $30. That item takes 10.5 hours to print, but I only have about $4.60 in filament cost. So yes, you can make money.
Any sanding of finishing needed to get that smooth of an exterior?
NONE!!! This was pulled straight off the printer! No supports to remove, no sanding...nothing!
@@malonecustomdesigns thanks for the reply. That print quality is amazing. I'm seriously considering buying a Bambu printer. Looks like a fantastic printer.
@@d.r.3397 It is legit a game changer! At least it was to me!
This was a radioactive drum that I printed a year ago
Wow what is the brand and color of the materials, looks awesome
Thanks. The blue is Sunlu brand, here's a link. amzn.to/3UnQJEK
The grey is Overture....but now I've switched to using Sunlu.
Which Are you using Filament and settings? :))
Sunlu PLA on all default settings.
What is that? Cool.
Couldn’t they make it with the spilled paint look on the Bambu with one print?
I actually took this file and reworked it to print as one piece with the spilled part as a different color. However, with all of the filament changes per layer...it would take longer to print that way.
Great no support model
Man nice print can u share ur settings ur prints are so smooth
This was just on the default settings...I didn't tweak anything. The X1-Carbon just prints pretty smooth!
damn thats smooth
@@malonecustomdesigns
If the printer bed is large enough for all 3 parts at the same time, why not print them together? I thought that was a reason to have multiple color filaments in an automatic feeder?
Likely high amount of filament waste per layer for color swap. I doubt it would save time either due to the time it needs to swap and purge colors in between each.
@@jinkoneko ahh...so are those issues negated if you have one of the printers with a dual print head?
@@MandalorianFanboy Nope, I personally have an ender 5 plus and currently more so using a bambu p1s lately which is same as the poster's x1c more or less which uses an AMS unit. So.. color prints are fun but you get an extra bucket lol.
Just out of curiosity why print in two different parts when you can just use two colours at once with bambus AMS system
There are two reasons actually.
1. This file was designed to have the insert separate. There are even different inserts that you can print. So without having the knowledge to assemble all pieces into one...printing separately made sense.
2. The inside of the bucket/can is colored while the outside of the can is grey. This makes more sense in the real world and looks natural. Like paint in the can. If you were to try to replicate this with a one piece print...there would be a whole lot of filament changes and a whole lot of waste! If you want the inside to look like paint, printing in two pieces is faster and uses less filament.
Hope that helps!
@@malonecustomdesigns thanks!
Hi, how can we make smooth timelapses like yours with carbon x1?
In the prepare tab, you need to change your timelapse settings from traditional to smooth.
Thank you for your answer and great videos 🙏@@malonecustomdesigns
Question: why not 2 color print it...?
Printing it as one piece in multi-color would take longer.
What material is it printed in, and are you using Bambu Labs branded filament?
Sunlu brand. PLA
@@malonecustomdesigns thanks for the response! Are you using the default generic pla settings on the X1c or have you tweaked them for this filament? Your print turned our gorgeous. I had some Sunlu that just won't turn out nice looking even after baking it.
@@Barak50cal You're welcome. All default PLA settings. No filament drying or anything. It just works great for me!
@@malonecustomdesigns oh wow, share some of your luck with me please! Haha
Nice, what layer-height did you use?
.2 the default
So what is it, and what does it do?
It is used to hold pens, pencils, etc. on a desk or shelf.
how do you get no layer lines?
This has layer lines....but they are minimal! Printed with default settings on the Bambu
What size layering did you use?
.02
with the AMS you could print as one piece and still be multi-color
Nope. I assembled this model into one piece and sliced it. With the filament changes, the multi color print will take longer.
With the AMS, you would massively increase the time, cost, and filament wastage of the print. It's cool for intricate multi-color designs though.
@@michaelliu2961 Do you have an AMS?
Beautiful! what filament?
Thanks. This is what we normally use. amzn.to/3OsbM5y
What program did u use to make this?
I downloaded the STL from Thingiverse.
Nice but why so long time?
Hmmm I don't think it's that long in the 3D printing world. But since these pieces are all separate...that adds quite a bit of time.
I printed one to black bucket silk gold paint no devider and it holds all my large printer tools
Nice! Did you have a color insert or was the inside just the color of the bucket?
@@malonecustomdesigns no I didn't print print the insert due to my large tools just a black bucket gold paint
Can a p1p print this smooth or no?
I've not seen a direct comparison between the two printers.
where did you get the file please
There is a link in the description. It's on Printables!
Any layer lines?
Barely noticeable.
What speed did you use
To be honest, I’ve never adjusted speed. I just do whatever the default is that Bambu sets.
Why so long of a time? Is that normal?
This is actually pretty fast.
I really need a new printer. I just downloaded the file and the main bucket part (the 4 hour one) on my printer will take 1 day 6 hours and 21 minutes :(
Yeah, the Bambu was a game changer for me!
Can u tell us how u recorded the timelapse?
The X1-Carbon has a built-in camera....you just select the timelapse option and it does it automatically. :)
@@malonecustomdesigns x1 is super expensive for me as it adds import duty in india and add like 400usd on top of 1800 usd
Clear pla or pla matte?
Regular PLA
круто!
What printer filament is that?
Sunlu. This is the one that I used. amzn.to/45VDqPr
@@malonecustomdesigns Thanks for such an quick answer. While I'm here I got another question. I'm about to get the same printer and wonder if you use the original Bambu Plate that came in the box and if it works fine. :)
@@anytng2077 You're Welcome! I purchased the textured PEI plate from the beginning. I've only used the textured plate and I love it...no need for any glue stick or anything like that!
@@malonecustomdesigns That's great to hear! Thank you so much for answering my questions and I will be on my way ordering a X1-Carbon plus the textured PEI plate. 😊
@@anytng2077 You are very welcome! You will love the printer!
Is that PLA?
Yes it is! Pretty certain it was Sunlu brand.
Why not one piece print?
Because it would take longer to print if you wanted the “drip” a different color.
If you turn the "smooth" time-lapse off, it'll print faster, i get it's better for views, but just in case you make something for yourself make sure to turn it off.
You are correct! I only use smooth occasionally. Usually just traditional timelapse is good enough.
Could def print this in ludicrous mode shouldn’t take that long.
You should get a ams
I have an AMS.....what makes you think I don't?
Uhhh another bin or pencil holders
I guess it s worth paying 1000 bucks if I can save on buying buckets
Exactly!!!! lol.
It would have been faster with an AMS Unit. Assuming that is a bambu printer
I have cut down the time slightly by printing a couple pieces at the same time with my AMS, but not by much.
This looks just as good, if not better, than what you could have done with an AMU without all the waste.
Are you Guga Foods brother ? 😅
lol Nope.
Bro nine hours shoot me
old very old ... 🙄
could have printed it in 1 print
Sure....it just takes longer.

Cud of printed the whole assembly in 1 print tbh.
If the file would have bee designed differently, then yes, this could have printed it all together. I was just working with the file I downloaded. :)
@@malonecustomdesigns ah ok, makes sense. :) very nice print btw, my bambu x1 will come next week and im pretty excited.
@@iamD2 you will love it!
One week and you can print the same on mk4 xd
Hallelujah!!!
no reason this needs to be 4 pieces tho. should have been 2 and could print in practically half the time
Interesting......how would you print this in 2 pieces?
@@malonecustomdesigns don't see any reason for the outside to be 2 pieces and for the interior to be it's own piece. just do those all as 1 piece and then u have the handle which is really optional
@@nerkTV ahh so you would have it all one color? Because it would really look funny to have the drip the same color as the bucket that it is in. And if you decided to use the AMS to print the drip as a different color, then the interior layers might look a little funny. Besides, with all of the filament changes....I doubt it would be any faster. But I do understand that if the designer had designed it all in one piece then you could totally save time by printing it in the same color. I think one reason the designer did this...is that you can put different inserts in it to make different dividers.
@@malonecustomdesigns you could easily change the design to do it in 1 piece and multiple colors. AMS required of course. edit: maybe you don't do modeling, just printing. fine
@@nerkTV Right....I normally don't do any modeling. I still think that if this was modeled as one piece (minus the handle) that it would still take longer to print in multi colors....but I could be wrong.
