I would really appreciate if you could elaborate bit more. I was unable to apply this method. Maybe I missed something

Thanks for sharing. Now I have something to do tonight while the weather is nasty outside. This is a great time of the year to maintain all your knives and other hunting equipment, so when the summer comes, we can play harder.

I cannot make sense of this. "Until it stops." Until what stops? Are you moving the knife on the stone? It's kind of hard to tell because your hand is in the way.

A strop with some honing compound is much better

What do you mean "WHEN IT SNUGS". Do you mean when is slides or glides easily? When it "STOPS" on the stone is what needs clearing up as well please

@Hormones Matter It’s something you have to practice a bit to feel. Like I said, it took me time to develop this technique.
Basically, you’re dancing the knife on the secondary bevel around where the knife was ground by the shoulder and then raising it until it sits flat on the whole bevel or knife edge.
Try lowering the angle until the knife feels like it skips or slips on the stone, and then raise it until it feels like it has stopped or is firm.
Another thing I’d suggest is putting sharpie on the edge of the knife and seeing how it is removed when implementing this technique. Then you can see if what you’re feeling is accurate, and it will show you exactly how you’re hitting the edge.
You can also look at the knife edge on the stone while practicing this to see if you’ve closed the gap between the edge of the knife and the stone.
Out of all the techniques I’ve shown on this channel for finding the angle, I do believe this one is the best and most effective. But it does take time to develop. Hope that helps.
