This is wonderful information for those who do not understand what Police Officers go through on a daily basis. One thing I have learned is that this kind of work is extremely stressful. It appears that in the worst situations, Officers must remain calm and have the ability to change from enforcement to life saving within a second or two. I imagine finding people with these skills required must be difficult.

We had a similar incident on the west side of Houston, Texas a couple of weeks ago where a subject lit a house on fire during a family dispute then led police on a chase that ended with him ramming the front door of a police substation.
