If they were fake, city would have given the originals and there would be no case at all. But because the emails are real city cannot argue it.

The analogy you used about flat earthers got my attention and I agree that the people debating reality causing a hoohaa going to Antarctica for a mockunentary hit piece called the final experiment are all at it whatever side of the false dichotomy they play on, they're grifters in it for self interest. You have the discernment to see that, so do I.
However, there are genuine realists that raise questions about existential narratives like the globular earth and the heliocentric cosmology. It's unfair to lump genuine people in with the on task charlatans that bypass the algorithms and get the attention of casual observers with their hit pieces, like this latest effort which isn't the final experiment at all.
The real final experiment to end it once and for all would be to force the line, to build a structure over a large body of water like a lake 2 miles long. We build a bridge in sections using the the original plumb line at each. The surface of body of water beneath could be measured in relation to the structure. You and I an all interested parties could walk along this final experiment and you will be able to prove bodies of water are capable of bending and holding convexity upon the surface to me, then I can accept that I've been a total dafty for the last 8 years. This could be done with a million quid.
Instead there are grifting operatives spending a fortune going on a jolly to see the penguins and to look up at lights in the sky that they also haven't got a clue about thinking that it somehow proves the full dimensions of earth. It doesn't at all.
