Check out some Stars and The Lids, shit could come off as boring to most people but I find it highly engaging. The Tired Sounds Of is my fave album by them but And Their Refinement Of The Decline is amazing also. Nice review bro.
Will check them out
I second this!! Their stuff is great. At the same level as the ambient stuff by Brian Eno.
I feel like you’d enjoy Geogaddi a bit more now maybe seeing as you’ve checked out more ambient but don’t feel like you have to hear it again if you’ve got other stuff you want to hear more
Would for sure recommend you check out Tim's other work like people have mentioned (Radio Amor, Virgins, Ravedeath 1972). Should also check out something like October Language by Belong. As for emotive noise music, for me, the peak of that is Going Places by Yellow Swans.
Oh my goodness thank god it finally happened at least, almost all his discography is amazing and you’re definitely not ready for his other stuff
oh hype this is such a goated ambient album
if you're interested in more of tim hecker's stuff I'd recommend radio amor, which is a lot more ambient and soothing.
i'm also once again gonna request an Autechre review
Will add to the list
Thank you Normal person reviews for this review
Great album. But I do actually prefer his "Virgins" album.
Could you do a review of the album Sleep by Flatsound? It's like if grouper and Phil Elverum had a baby that never went outdoors, as in the album has a cozy, homey vibe. It's one of my favorite records ever, and it doesn't get nearly as much talk as it should.
Keep in mind most of Tim's work (including Harmony) uses edited/manipulated recordings of guitar, organ, etc.
Do virgins now!!!!!!!1
