      to be honest lighting is Subjective its like painting , you canvas will look different than someone elses thus its not a right or wrong way, as long as you know the "Rules" as in how to make light soft , hard, and color ....

      @Cinedon Год назад

      At the end of the day 99% of videography is displaying and waking up specific types of emotions to and from your viewer.. And that can only be done with the right lighting and color psychology … combined with the sound/cam movememt/compositions and so on..

    You mentioned how long it took to set up at the beginning of the video, but I’m curious to know more about how long setups /should/ take.
    I ask because I was recently on a set where a lot of the shots were taking, what I felt, was too long. But at the same time, I understand the DP wanting to get the lighting perfect. However, it felt like we ended up scrapping a bunch of shots, and it felt like we were just getting basic coverage by the end of the day just to meet our goal of filming the right amount of pages.
    I know there’s no cut and dry formula for how long setups should take, but I’m curious on what your opinion is about the length of time that a cinematographer should take on each setup. What’s a good average page count per day should we be aiming for as a production company, etc.?
