This does not work, it might have for the first couple of users, but I have tried it several times over the weekend with a new account etc and its an absolute con, Temu puts bullshit prices up like save £600 on the thermal camera, reduced to £142, a far cry from the £70 price tag. Even the Meter is in the £20 region.

Probably need to be wary of quoting Temu in the future, having a proper discount code with a reliable retailer is one thing but quoting Temu discounts (which seem change every time someone else searches for the same item) is pretty pointless.

Why I don't buy items from Temu? Because they are selling products produced in forced labor camps. That is why most of them are extremely cheap. Why there is a free postage? Look for information in Internet, we are all paying for it, but not directly. Bottom line you are benefiting from cheap products, but for what price to other people? I know that Temu is everything right now, because they have a lot of money to spend for promotion, but it sad they get also on this channel.

Same reason they sell certain things like watches that have absolutely no way to adjust the time unless you "install an app." Many products that are missing obvious functions which are enabled only after you install an app (along with its zero day spyware :) ) If it's too good to be true...

Airflow setting should be there. Default is 10.

You can do nothing wrong buying a cheap multimeter, but everything that runs on mains voltage you might watch or read a review first. Chinesium products have the tendency to neglect users safety when it comes to mains voltage. ;)=)
Yes, sure, but I wouldn't worry unless I am using the meter for voltages over 500 V. Plastic is good enough for the mains voltage. 'course you have to be well aware you are dealing with a very cheap tool.

For a beginner, I recommend spending a bit more on quality tools. These cheap tools will do a job but you need a lot of experience to effectively use them. Thanks for the video Sorin
@PCEYTube Not true, the fact that they're cheap doesn't make them less in quality. The thermal imager is superior to anything from FLIR below 340p resolution. The rework station is solid, I have been using one daily since 2021 & it works great.
The truth is that Western companies just can't compete with the Chinese anymore in terms of instrumentation. The Chinese make better tools for a fraction of the price of Fluke, Bosch, etc. The Chinese tools are also easier to fix.

After going through the rigamaroo of "cheap" as a beginner myself, I'd never think to suggest anyone to go cheap+china, get what's good, even if it might put a dent in the funds. That's just part of starting a business or going into a special hobby like this, 99% of mistakes i ever made came from flimsy beginner's trap advice like this because i was both ill-equipped and lacked the experience to ""make it work"".
Pay once, Learn once, then you won't have to do it twice.

Even chinese want to earn profit. You probably haven't even seen any JBC or weller or ersa or even chinese T12 soldering station. And saying chinese make better tools like Fluke shows you have actually no clue about electronics. If you would then you would know what makes Fluke good and why industry uses it everywhere. There are decent price and quality even from chinese, but definitely not the cheapest ones. For soldering it's night and day what you use. If you want cheapest decent quality at least buy T12 station which has heating element inside the tip. For hot air ST-862D is definitely decent quality for the price. For thermal camera InfiRay P2 Pro. For multimeter any will fit your motherboard where voltages are max 20-25V. Anything mains related stay away from it if you value your life. Btw even if you buy cheap multimeter and don't care about speed or accuracy then buy at least decent multimeter probes like probemaster. Makes night and day already.
@PCEYTube How many FLIR thermal inagers can boast of a 25hz refresh rate? Or 40mk sensitivity? Don't mistake the image fusion on your FLIR for the actual thermal image. The updated version of this UNI-T has image fusion, too. As of today, China's Infiray makes the best & and most advanced uncooled thermal sensors on earth. FLIR doesn't even come close. FLIR now shies away from listing the actual technical specifications of its thermal imagers in order to hide their inferiority. I have a FLIR too & I used to think like you, but you can't argue with facts. There are tons of reviews online.

Exaclty. These come one prices are for new users only.
Temu keeps track of you phone or device ID. If you try a new email on the same device it will either tell you something is suspicious, device was used before or may not say anything and just put limits on things such as games. Prices will always have some outrageous original price and make it seem like discounts. The games take forever and by the time you win, if you make it that long the product will be gone and you will be offered something way less than what you chose at the beginning. They have it all mapped out.

Greed and unrealistic profiteering. Everyone wants to make a lot of money in a short time. They make it in China and sell it here at five times the price.
What's your guess? How much is a thermal camera if you order 1000 of them? They'll put whatever you want on the product. Less than 50 pounds. Okay. Shipping, taxes, other costs. But not £250.

Why is the plastic box at the corner shop 18 pounds? If I order it from the manufacturer, it's £2. Temu sells 4 for £37. Amazon sells 5 for £100. Same plastic box.

The soldering iron has issues to let the tip make contact with the heating cartridge. I'm still looking for a decent (and cheap) soldering iron. More than this, don't touch the iron socket pins even if its switch is off, there is some tension there
New guys on the block, trying to undermine Aliexpress, my guess. These might be ok for someone just getting started or as a hobbyist but I wouldn't trust this stuff long term. Granted, with the exception of the thermal camera, they are almost being sold at 'throw-away' price points. I've made 2 purchases from temu when they first started and got what I paid for - low quality crap. I know of others who experienced the same, so I know it wasn't an 'isolated incident'. Call me a tool fanatic, IMOP a good quality tool will cost more and as a business, I'd rather have the latter even if I need to spend 'a bit' more. Experience has taught me that 'cheap' can come back to bite you more often than not, versus a more expensive purchase. The best thing to do is research & shop before you buy. Just my personal experience, people can decide for themselves. Nice review.
I will only comment on the camera - sure it might be sensitive (although your testing was far from scientific) but:
- the frame rate seems about 10-15fps, which you say is 'good' but I would classify as barely adequate. You don't need higher for repair jobs, but there are better cameras out there for not much more and you could buy something decent that you can use for other applications, not just repair jobs.
- most importantly the resolution seems attrotius. Sure, it picked up the CPU and transistor as red, but a quarter of the board was glowing red with it. You didn't even bring it close enough to see if you can pinpoint the 'failing' component. Otherwise what is the point - if there are 100 components in the area that all glow red.

100% something wrong here. For these prices even chinese can't compete. Someone is losing money with these. Temu or whoever just advertising and taking loss here. Reading comments below like nobody couldn't get these for these prices. For the money they definitely would be worth, but as you read the comments nobody can't get these. But still at the end of the day it's cheap junk.
@@hehe42069-k Yes, sadly true. There is decent gear even from china like I already mentioned under some other comment. But it isn't the cheapest crap. For soldering station at least T12 type with heating elements inside the tip, for hot air ST-862D is decent and for thermal camera probably InifiRay P2 Pro. But it's not like they cost nothing. But still they are very cheap. If you can't spend more at least start with these. Most people have never used JBC or any other top tier so they can't make any comparison. I also think many people lack even basics electronics like I can see here from the comments day to day. Even basic understanding about ohm's law. That's why they can never understand electronics and what makes Fluke industry standard and so on.
@@TriodeTetrode I started with a pretty "cheap" amazon soldering station, served me pretty well but the temps seemed a bit inaccurate and it took forever to get to temperature, after a few jobs i upgraded to an Aoyue Int701A++, now that was the definition of "cheap" but damn it's good, paired with some Hakko tips, its serving me incredibly well. You can go low price and still get quality, but some things are going to be higher in the price bracket, like that ST-862D, which i have! I bought it from Louis Rossman's store, not sure if he even sells equipment anymore sadly but that was a solid investment, and the fume extractors.. boy that itself is a rabbithole i hate i had to go down. Took several cheap fume extractors i lost money on for me to go all in with the Hakko FA-430, its served me well on the *same* filter for the past 4 years!

I managed to get the thermocamera for a tad less of 100 euro. Not bad!!! I placed the order this morning, onr hour after the video was published, using an alternative email address to make temu believe I was a new customer.

Tried to buy soldering station on temu. It said it is not available (sold out) after I gave them all my data. Also, search results and availibility of items depends of country you are located. Seems as scam.

Hello, i have unit 120s mine is draining battery, when shut down it still consumes current from battery about 100mA and shuts of after 30 minutes, sometimes 60 minutes later
I only saw the multimeter at the price they gave you, and never used temu before. Soldering station and thermal camera says item no longer available.
So I ordered the multimeter and had to add something else too because there is a minimum order amount.
I am curious if I will receive the multimeter that you reviewed or some cheap copy.

I'd say this always depends on your actual components. You don't want to use anything higher than what's usually on those connections not to fry anything. Will 0.9V generate enough heat to be visible? Maybe.

Beware that temu list items that are not the ones from Sorin when the Sorin's one are out of stock.
This is most likely their way to get customer, by introducing a cheaper price items but eventually will be the same like ebay or amazon after some time later. I bought a lot of tools from Taobao, cheaper than ebay or amazon which they charge you for like 3 or 4 times.

Oh! I looked up the Soldering Station on Amazon Germany and found it (significantly more expensive, obviously), but the reviews also include a warning about the connector pins on the base station (both male?) potentially being live without a cable (at 230V). So if anyone gets it, better make sure to always connect wires before plugging it in.
I’ve only heard scary stories about these ultra cheap hot air/soldering stations like they are improperly wired internally and can be a serious hazard

I have that thermal cam and while it does okay overall, every time I have gone to use it since the day I got it, the battery is dead. I've contacted the company asking the simple questions like what batteries it takes and how to open the unit to even change them and they had no answers! They seriously joked around the whole time and ignored my questions. I don't know if I'll ever buy anything from them again simply due to their ridiculous interactions during this conversation. They even cut off our conversation!
