when the announcer mentions the overworked bellhops does that explain why in the tower of terror commercials it shows an evil bellhop when he pulls the lever and the elevator falls with guests in it
Cool, didn't know Joe Dante directed the live action bits, he directed Gremlins 1 & 2, the Howling, Interspace and one of the segments from the Twilight Zone movie in 1983
But I wonder how they made the Hollywood Tower Hotel on the outside, when the lightning struck the building. Is it all CGI animated or is it a model that they made ?
@@kayjayt8607I’ve actually spent time trying to figure out what the heck the building in reality would have been like had it had the pieces in the pre show. Like the sign isn’t high enough for that to be realistic, so feel like it adds almost a dream like odd quality to it
@@kkrautthe sign was placed too low on the real building, but was corrected in the pre show to be above the two missing wings of the hotel. When I put together that it makes no sense to have the sign that low in the real building it’s bothered me ever since😂

Cool to get a glimpse behind the scenes. Most interestingly the bellhop's uniform is light blue instead of the well known red.
Most likely to show up better for the black and white filter placed on top
Finally,we finally saw behind the scenes The twilight zone tower of terror. It's been an operation in Disney World for 25 years.
Thank you for making the pre show I wanted to see it
1:56 This suit was blue the whole time. (Mind Blown)

Where can I find this whole documentary? It's incredible!
I second this question
Would be nice if we could see this full video =)
Agree

He also directed Small Soldiers 1998
Was this part of a longer Tower of Terror doc?
So the five people are actually not dead so they are actually safe.
I should have known the bell hop's uniform wasn't red! If it was then the uniform would be a darker colour, similar to the colour of the hotel's roof.
This is cool
The set should have been on the tram tour!
Is the narrator actor Nick Offerman?
I did not know the bellhop wore blue
Iirc the girl in the pre-ride show was also played by Lindsay Ridgeway who would then reprise her role in the TV movie. Can anyone confirm this?
It looks like that is correct. Reference: disney.fandom.com/wiki/Lindsay_Ridgeway
Her name is Sally shine
How did they do the exterior shot
Where's the tower of terror source ride videos?

The entire hotel in the pre show is cg
What I’m curious about is why the tower in the pre-show is architecturally different from the actual building in WDW. Have you noticed that?
