Thankyou for your insightful knowledge Julie Erin! Jilly from Orientcourt Zazzler from many moons ago!
@@JillianSeeorientcourt Oh hey nice to see you here!
Thank you sis. You've got a very good voice. This was really really helpful. You cannot imagine how much you have helped me and others. Thanks a bunch for effort and simple and friendly explanation. God bless. Hare krishna
I was not aware of Zazzle. Thanks for sharing your knowledge about it Julie.
Oh yeah of course! I've been selling with them for years now.
GREAT VIDEO!!! 👍🏻
I do have one simple question, and I think you answered it. If there is the "Department" categories, then why do we have our own "Categories"? I think the answer is, it is for our own organization? Right? Seems strange. Maybe even harder for customers to find our products. ??? Don't know.
Yeah that's a good question, I've wondered that myself. I'm not sure how many customers use them to search individual designers catalogs, but I don't think it's many. I use it more for personal organization I guess.
@@JulieErinDesigns thank you so much for your reply ❤ I was stoked I got an answer. And so quickly. You are 👌 awesome. I will be watching even more of your content now. Thanks so much. You rock it.
@@DuaneTheOakHirst Aw thanks! Glad to have you here :)
this was super helpful, Thank you so much!!
I'm so glad it was helpful!
Great video Erin! Whenever I try to set the category while I’m creating the product, it never goes into that collection. I always have to go back after into my store and place it in the proper collection from there. Would love to see a video on how to create custom
customizable products. I’m a bit confused on that.
I totally have the custom products tutorial on my list! I find that too sometimes it doesn't go into the category, but it might also just take time, their website is slow to catalog things I've found. Like it's not there immediately but if you check a couple of days later it is there. For collections you have to add the product after it has been published.
You can only set the category on the product submission page, not the collection. Just to clarify.
Thank you that was very informative and I like that you not only explained things but showed how to do it as well. Other tutorials seem to waffle on but you got straight to the point A++
Glad you enjoyed 😁
Are you on drugs? NOWHERE does this valley-girl explain HOW to create a collection.
Hey Julie,
Thank you so much for this wonderful video, it’s very helpful in better understanding zazzle platform and to be honest zazzle is a bit hassle but I’d say your tutorials are making it much easier to work with zazzle, thanks again;)
I'm so glad to hear that! It just takes some time to get the hang of it 😊
There's a default category called "Featured Products" on Zazzle. It's easy to add products to it but it's impossible to remove products out of it afterwards. I have tried many many many times to remove something I added to this category before, but No matter how many times and days I keep trying to remove them, they are STILL there. Any advice?
Hmm sorry I am not sure. I have nothing in that category. Have you tried checking the Zazzle help forum? Someone there may have an answer for you.
Very helpful explanation! Thanks!
You are welcome!
Hi, I know the difference between a category and a collection and now I know how to create a collection and a category thanks to you but I'm still confused about what a collection actually is. I was under the impression that a collection was a theme in my store. For example, I also have a mandala and sacred geometry collection and I include different kinds of designs under that category(simple mandalas, mandalas in nature, etc. I also have a meditation and mindfulness category and include different designs under that category(it could be zen stones, bamboo, enso circles with a japanese theme, etc under that collection). By the looks of this video, I'm doing it wrong. Most people use one specific design as a collection, let's say some balancing zen stones. Then under that "collection" they include different products such as mugs, puzzles, tshirts, stickers, etc... using that exact design only(well ,maybe they change the color and thats it). Im new to this print on demand business. I opened my redbubble store about 3 weeks ago and I have that setup in my collections. I just opened my zazzle account less than a week ago and i don't have as many designs as in my redbubble store because I'm still very confused with the zazzle system. Thank for your patience.
You can use collections however you want, there is no right or wrong way
@@JulieErinDesigns thanks 👍
Chapter marks or timestamps? That would be helpful when going back through.
I will try to add them!
Hi, I started with no categories. I have now created them, but when i try to transfer / link them to my categories, i get the message sorry no products.
it takes a bit of time for the products to show up. you have to be patient, and wait a few days.
I would love to see more tips and tricks on selling on Zazzle
Awesome, thanks for the feedback! Have you seen my other Zazzle videos yet? ruclips.net/video/aH4q-ejjsDA/видео.html
I was just looking for that thank you very much. Hy from Quebec city Canda
Glad I could help!
Thanks for clearing this up for me. I was very confused about this.
I would like to know how you manage to have the time to set each design to all/most or many products?! It takes ages!
I know there is a quick one that adds to some products but there are so many more.
TBH I usually only put my designs on a handful or products to start. If it sells I might put it on more products. Or if a particular product type is selling for me then I will add more designs to that product. I hope that makes sense.
@@JulieErinDesigns That makes sense. I wish it was more like redbubble. Up load once & choose what to add it too, but I guess Zazzle has too many products for that.
@@Lilione111 Yes, for sure. But what I like about Zazzle is the ability to make customize-able products. So I create less but more thoughtfully designed prodcts on there.
I enjoyed the video! Can you make a video on how to create thumbnails like the mock-ups for the zazzle products.
By thumbnails do you mean like the category images? Otherwise I'm not sure what you mean
@@JulieErinDesigns yeah the category images. Also Do zazzle sellers have to create the product mock-up on zazzle like Etsy sellers do? Or no
@@SusyMaldonado no it's like redbubble where it just applies your artwork to their own mockup of the products!
@@JulieErinDesigns thank you
Thank you for the tutorial. Wondering why you and others have mentioned that they have more than one store. Why? If you categorize your products, why have another store?
There are many reasons. If you want to target a totally different niche for example. Or post some experimental stuff you don't want in your main store. Some people create a store just to sell a specific type of product. Those are just a few reasons.
Can you help me with something? my storefront does not display my categories and there is no tab for categories in my store either. Only collections. When I go into profile manager I cannot find anywhere that lets me add my categories to my storefront. The only way to find my categories is when I go into profile management and scroll down and they are right there on the left side bar but I want to display them big directly on the front of my store. Can you help me figure out how to do this?
Hi there, you have to go into the categories on the left and then add a cover image to the category in order for it to allow you to display it on the storefront.
Thanks, very helpful
You're welcome!
thank you Julie for your helpful contents.
please i have a question about setting up the new store. i have done all the necessary steps , but i stuck on the last one . which is "create 10 store collection" . should i create a collection of diffrent 10 store ? or i have to create another 10 store joined together in one collection ?
thank you very uch in advance .
Just create 10 collections for that one store, a collection is just made up of products
I want to ask, Is it in " Public Storefront View" wherein we can reorganize a zazzle store?
No, you should be in profile management view
Hi. I just opened my Zazzle store last night and I don't see my products. I only started with 2 products to test the site and I don't see my products even if I type the exact keyword. Indo see my products when I'm logged in using the editing tools but once I open Zazzle from my phone and type an exact keyword on the search bar, nothing appears. Would you happen to know what the problem is? Thanks for the video. I now know the difference between category and collection.
Sometimes it takes time for things to show up on there especially if you are new. I'd give it a few more days and then reach out to their customer service to find out if there is an issue with your account.
@@JulieErinDesigns thanks 🙏👍
Thank you so much for this video. Where would I find "store management"? it's not listed in my profile.
If you're on your public storefront, on the banner you can click on "return to store management"
@@JulieErinDesigns Thank you!
Hello can you please explain me. what is KUDO in zazzle community. If someone gives Kudo to someone. What that means? I can not find it in Google.
Someone liked your comment
I noticed amazon in the list in your website the link you shared here. Is that Merch By Amazon or Amazon Hand made page?
Amazon affiliate page
What is best for collection? Each topic individually or each type alone?
Hi there, it totally depends. I would say in general to create collections by topic. You could have "Christmas Cards" as a more general collection theme. Or very specific like a "Unicorn Birthday Party" collection where you have a bunch of birthday products with the same design theme. Hope that makes sense.
@@JulieErinDesigns thank you so much
You're welcome!
I already have a TON of categories made. I'd like to make just a few categories that I could move my existing categories into as subcategories. How can I do that? I've spent a lot of time creating Tags, etc for each category so far, so I don't want to have to completely remake them as Subcategories - just be able to move them in as a Subcategory. Any help with this ?
Categories you'd have to remake as subcategories. But if you've added tags etc are you talking about collections? You can't make subcollections unfortunately
No, you can add up to 10 tags per product category - so I've done that for the products I made from 85 separate images I Photographed in Africa - each with their own category. Now that I know you can make subcategories, it just seems crazy to me that you can't drag/drop or Move a category into another one just like you can drag folders into other folders on a computer. :-/ There's not a way to Reorganize anything after it's been made.
@@melissaanne9404 you can reorganize it you just have to go under products and check off all the ones you want to move and then go to actions set category. That's the only way I know. I understand your frustration. I had to reorganize my entire store a couple of times. Just part of PoD and learning the platforms I guess 🤷♀️
I'm wondering if this needs to be updated. I'm trying to put products into categories. My page looks just slightly different. The Products on yours is My Products on mine and there's no search bar, on mine.
Mine still looks exactly the same as it does in this video, and I have a search bar. I'm not sure if there is a setting to add the search bar, if so I've never noticed it. Or maybe you're in the public storefront? Sorry I'm not sure why yours would be different.
Oh I think I know. You're looking at your profile rather than your individual store. Click on the Stores tab and then choose the store you want to add the categories to.
This video is provided by a Zazzler for free, please acknowledge her contribution for helping us navigate Zazzle. Jillian Orientcourt
I followed your explanation, but I have an inquiry, because I downloaded the designs before, and when adding them to the category in the same way that you explained, I do not find them??! I don't know what's wrong?!
My categories do not appear on the main store page?!
@@Zezo-nl4ul Did you go into your advanced settings and add categories to your home page?
@@JulieErinDesigns yes
@@Zezo-nl4ul and you added a custom image to the category? also make sure you are on the store page and not your member profile
How to create a single product store on zazzle and uploading design
Hi there you can check out my other zazzle tutorials here ruclips.net/p/PLfnS_n12PlaA4ITOTXgcglDNALpv3ENWS
Thanks for these informations ❤️ I really wanna make some money from zazzle but I can't have any sales what I should do?
I was wondering why my Categories are not showing up on my Zazzle Homepage. I have my Homepage set up under 'Advanced Settings' to have my Categories displayed first and I have cover pictures on the ones I want to show. Do I need a certain amount of products in a Category before each Category will show up on my HP? Thanks!
Yes, I am having the same problem ...everything is set up correctly but they are still not showing up on my homepage? Maybe you can help. Thank you so mush for your time and effort. This video is very helpful:)
You may need a to have a certain number of products in the category for it to show up, I haven't been able to find a definitive answer. Your mouse movement is driving me crazy, also please use a bigger yellow mouse pointer.
Thanks for the feedback!
How come. When I shared my website links here in 2 posts. Are not showing up also not my posts. But I see that your website links are showing up here. Is that you tube responsible for removing my posts with links?
RUclips flags links in the comments section as spam. I'm the creator of the video so it lets me post my own links.
Why my products collections are not showing up under COLLECTIONS at public store front. And why my products not showing up in products section . Again at public store front. I can see them all at back end. I am not hiding any product or its collection from public view.
Make sure you are on the store front and not your profile. You can edit each collection and then check off which store(s) you want the collections to appear on.
@@JulieErinDesigns For now I can see my collection at home page only and not under Collection section.. But I certainly can see my products outside collection at my Products page at public store front.. Is it important to see my collections under COLLECTIONS section. Because I can only see the at public store front Home Page.
@@ACTIVATEDADNANSALIMI1969 did you edit the collection and check the box to have it show in your store? sorry i don't work for Zazzle so if you're having problems you may want to reach out to them for further clarification.
@@JulieErinDesigns I like your zazzle store. Especially the page where you put all your POD stores for references. For which you provided the link just under your tutorial video.
@@ACTIVATEDADNANSALIMI1969 I think you're looking at my website. That's not Zazzle.
Your advice and instructions are really helpful and clear but I struggle with the way you zoom around the website on your screen share - it makes me feel dizzy and is sometimes so quick I have to pause/go back to watch bits again - this is a shame as I really want to watch your other videos because there are so few decent Zazzle tutorials out there but your rather frenetic style delivery has put me off!😔
alright, thanks for the feedback. you know you can slow down the speed of the video though
I think the collection is a redundancy of categories.
Not exactly. Did you watch the video?
Looks like a good vid but can't watching it....I keep hearing lip smacking 😆
Oh... okay
You have to take a drink each time she does that!! 🤣🥂
@@Sesstor2 Sorry I didn't even realize I was doing that
Good info but hard to follow because seemed to jump around a lot figuratively and literally. Jumping around about what to do and what was being done...and the page(s) jumping up and down so fast I couldn't keep up. So stopped paying attention and left...sorry...
@@donbentley9141 You can slow down the video speed you know
I'm sorry, but I need to say, you need to stop scrolling up and down, up and down. It gets irritating trying to follow your cursor as to where youl're going. You would also need to slow down and direct where your cursor is and/or going. Slowing down the speed doesn't help.
Ok well keep in mind I'm learning, just like you, how to make videos and how to teach, I'm not a professional. So thanks for your feedback I'll keep in mind for future videos.
@@JulieErinDesigns Sorry, if I sounded harsh. I didn't mean to, but I am sooo frustrated with Zazzle. I opened another store to streamline the hundreds of products and to have that store focus only on interior decor. Moving, deleting, whatever I could do didn't work. I deleted all the products in the new store and is now editing and organizing each product, starting with tiles. Zazzle's the only platform that would cramp my clicking finger. I canceled Redbubble because their site looked messy. I kept Spoonfloor and Society6, but no movement there until I get Zazzle running. Keep up the great tutorials!
@Surf it! I totally understand! That does sound frustrating. I don't know of a quicker way to move products from one store to another. I find it's usually easier to start over with a new product. Editing is definitely a good idea to help improve seo. I find there's a lot to learn with zazzle but with some trial error you can get there and be happy with it
Loved the video but as an English teacher...stationary really bothers me. Should be stationery
It would be nice if you had bothered to show HOW to create a collection, rather than talk about them. Blah blah blah.
Okay, bye!
Also if you bothered to watch I actually did. 😒
@@JulieErinDesigns No, you do NOT mention HOW to create a collection. i suggest you actually view your own "tutorial" and see for yourself how you blab away, without mentioning what steps there are to CREATE a collection.
@@andystout3551 you're welcome to find another tutorial
@@JulieErinDesigns You talk ABOUT collections...but you forget to show HOW to create them! Duh.
When creating the banners for collections no pictures show for use....I think the px are too small (2000X2000) what does the px need to be to be able to use for creating a banner ?
Collection banners are 1140 x 315 px
