Update: The performance improvement changes have been merged into the latest builds of RPCS3, simply update and you will have these improvements! We also noticed that Killzone 3 and 2 like the "Relaxed Zcull" setting, this gave us 10-14more FPS on Killzone 3 in the shown area!
@@Francisco17Berrios in his country he had to do military training or something along those lines, so he had no time contributing to rpcs3. He made MGS4 work really fast among other titles some 6 months or more ago. Him being back will give the emu even more a boost in performance.

This one is still a work in progress. Neither Sony or Microsoft could allow themself to release an early access version of BC. So best case scenario: they're quietly working on it until it's ready. But I think Sony would rather invest its resources in the future and new projects.
@@SuperDimson I'd say Sony would rather sit on their thumbs and let their crappy game streaming service handle it also Microsoft's back compat only works with a few hundred 360 games and a hand full of og Xbox games so clearly they don't mind having a partially working back compat so don't go dragging them into Playstations nonsense. There's absolutely no excuse for not having at the very least ps1 on ps5 cause ps3 was running ps1 completely through an official emulator, I'd also make an argument for ps2 emulation on the ps5 since pcsx2 has nearly 3000 playable games which I'd hardly call "work in progress" I could understand saying it was "work in progress" if there was terrible graphical bugs or really shitty performance but that really isn't the case for the majority of Playstation emulators at this point hell even Vita emulation is making huge strides despite the tiny little team and non existent funding for Vita3k.
@@Pointman11111 Honestly I wasn't even talking about that specifically but that's a great point Vita does full ps1 and ps2 emulation so you can play tons of old games on it on the go at that. What I was mainly talking about though is there's a Vita emulator on PC and there's already quite a few games that are playable there's still a ton of work to be done on it but still.

Ive been waiting for years now to see that happend, i honestly wouldnt keep my hopes up to see it happen in the next 2-3 years. Ps3 code is very difficult to emulate
What I really want is a way to bind the motion controls to keyboard keys - without a PS3/PS4 controller you literally cannot progress in Killzone 2 due to the motion control mine plant parts.
At the rate of progress they are making i don't think its gonna take 3-4 years for it to get good. It works really well atm just some games have issues
I have a mid-high range setup and I can run every playable game in this emulator, very well, some ingame games I can run too, you are losing time letting the time pass...
So glad this emulator exists, now with ps store shutting down for the previous generation it looks like we will never see ps3 emulation on the ps5. At least rpcs3 shows us the potential of what ps3 games would have looked like for the ps5.

What's getting me is that I already remember Killzone 2 running a bit like shit on my actual PS3 so seeing it run at a 30 FPS average instead of a 20-25 FPS average is impressing me a lot already.
Will motion controls ever be available to be bound to PC keys or other controller buttons? I’d rather use my Xbox Series X controller than my PS3 one but there’s no way to progress through the motion control parts of Killzone 2.
Very good perfomance but UFC Undisputed 3 still dont work correctly. Sound bugs and disappear, slow work and game crash after 1 min. And Fight Night Champion glitch, freeze, sound bugs, crushes and work very slow. CPU i3 9100F GPU NV GF GTX 1080 RAM 16 GB DDR4.
Hey, RPCS3! I've installed Killzone 2, it works fine on the main menu, but I get a crippling graphical glitch that covers the screen, and I cant play beyond the first cutscene. Any help is greatly appreciated!
It is worth to say that in the 9900K part there are no shots from the player, so in the scene there is less load, and in the case of an emulator the interaction of the player influences the performance, and although the difference is little, the comparison does not is the best. In addition, despite that, it is curious to see how before it was better in the 5950X but later worse in this one, what happened there, maybe the TSX feature?
Is it possible to compile ppu shaders even much faster? I have been waiting for too long to boot a new game... maybe it would be possible to pre-download them?

Hey guys i love your work! The Jak and Daxter Series is almost playable on the Emulator but the only problem is the skybox flashing. Do you know how to possibly fix this? :)
Killzone 2 and 3 still crash often with VK_device_lost in exactly the same spots, how to resolve this ? and killzone 2 in gpu settings anti aliasing should be disabled or auto? , as disabled gives better fps but my game freezes in the loading screen , but in anti aliasing auto game freezes less but runs with low fps ,so how to keep anti aliasing disabled without freeze in killzone 2 ?

I never used this emulator before, nor I have a pc but I really hope you all get Killzone 2 and 3 (and possibly KZ1 HD) to run at 60fps locked, and maybe at 1080p or 1440p if that is possible (I'm not a expert on emulation & stuff at all) since Guerrilla Games and Sony problably will never bother to remaster KZ1 2 and 3 on PS5 and maybe PC with 60fps and higher resolution
This is amazing work, I just really want the fix for ratchet and clank a crank in time with the fire effect glitch, there is a level that everyone gets stuck and can't pass because of the fire and laser effects.

RPCS3 Doesn't contain game specific hacks in its codebase. But there are optional patches which are made by our community, which can be enabled via the patch manager. Patches are downloaded off our wiki into an external file. The patch to disable MLAA in Killzone 3 does disable some screen effects for instance.

There are no PPU shaders, shaders are from RSX. Both PPU recompiled code and RSX recompiled shaders are game code and not to be redistributed.
