PRIDE BEFORE FALL

I had an amazing time visiting @visitlex for @soulfeastweek, organized by @mxbarksdale and @_martibarksdale. The Black food scene and culture here are incredible! To start off @soulfeastweek, I had a fantastic farm-to-table dinner with fresh produce from the historic @colemancrestfarmtv, a family farm that has been around for generations. We learned about their amazing produce and enjoyed a delicious meal cooked by the talented @isaiahscreetch. The next day, I attended Kentucky’s premier Juneteenth celebration, SOULFEAST, which celebrates Black liberation and ingenuity through music, art, agriculture, and, of course, fantastic food. I met many amazing people and tried some incredible dishes. Don’t miss out on supporting Black-owned restaurants this week during their Black Restaurant Week in Lexington, Kentucky. Lexington is truly outstanding in the food scene-you have to visit next year to experience it all!
