Mine is 3 months old, I've checked the voltage on the batteries, and it says their good, but I replaced them anyways. I have the wired one, I've tried reseting with and without removing the batteries. Nothing seems to work. I've even shot compressed air through it. IMO it is just hot garbage of a product.
I have a Kidde Nighthawk carbon monoxide detector. It was manufactured in 2013. I justed moved into my apartment and none of the batteries in any of the smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors were installed properly (backwards). Plus, the batteries are all dead. I got a new battery and tested all the detectors, and they all seem to work. But, I was wondering, do I have to replace the carbon monoxide detector?? I was reading online to change it every 7 to 10 years, and 2023 is going to be the 10th year. Is this something that I need to do? I'd rather be safe than sorry, though I am on an extremely limited budget. Is this something that the landlord would be responsible for doing? Do I buy it and install it and get the landlord to reimburse me? (I live in Ontario, Canada)
I have 2 types of kidde carbon monoxide and smoke alarms . When calling Kidde i have a choose FREE replacement of either short life unit or another 10 year life unit . I always have extra for safety while replacement arrives .
my stupid alarm started chirping every so often to tell me to go buy somebody Elses alarm if it is at 10 years old something on display would be sufficient i would come by and say hmm that's not right ill see why its displaying that not beep at me in middle of night waking me up to tell me its had a birthday.

Thank you! Saved my sanity. 😅

fire alarm keeps going off for no reason just because there's bugs crawling through it and it's actually making it where I can't even sleep

my fire alarm keeps going off because of a bug crawling in it and then it keeps claiming carbon monoxide even when it's underneath my pillow

mine beeps from 5:00am to 8:30am. and I replaced the batteries
Mine did that because the temperature dropped in that one room. When cold they will chirp.
