I think the ICC Champions Trophy should be played in a knockout format with total 16 teams, first round of sixteen, then quarter finals, then semi finals, then third place playoff. 32 teams kuch jyada nahi ho gaya in 20 teams top 10 have potential to beat any team in T20 format and other 5-6 can give tough competition but sidhe 32 team kar dena toh sirf formality ke liye hoga strong team will play weak team only in ICC tournament.
Champions trophy is ok but t-20 will have to be 4 years difference
1) the decline of ODI cricket is not liked by a lot of fans who grew up with this format so there had to be something to fix it if just restrict it to World Cup
2) for a long time the champions trophy has been known for the tournament for the best performed teams with plenty of competitions so now no need to decrease ODI World Cup team numbers
3) the revival of this tournament needed because icc had to give an event for Pakistan to host. Teams like Australia, England, New Zealand, and South Africa have travelled there but just because India is not travelling doesn’t mean it can’t host international matches at home and every other team has one tournament to host in 2024-31 cycle

Kyu na Champions Trophy ko league ki tarah khela jaaye. Jaise WTC two years ka cycle hota hai.
Waise hi isey bhi tournament ki tarah na khel kar ek league ki tarah khela jaaye in two years cycle.
Play 8 series 4 home and 4 away either of 3 ODIs Or 5 ODIs. Can play 5 match series with big teams like Australia and England.and have just 3 match series with lower rank teams like West Indies and Zimbabwe..
Or can have 6 series 3 home and 3 away either 3 match series, 5 match series or 7 match series.
Hence, after two years cycle top two teams will play Champions Trophy final in England. And that should be the ultimate ODI championship.
World Cup must be played in T20 format as I want more teams participation and it is possible in T20 format only.
Now, leagues are already being played in T20 format and there must be less international matches for T20 format. Play friendlies like in FIFA and have World Cup qualifiers.
In short I want T20 to be played international only World Cup to World Cup and also region cup like Asia Cup.
WTC for Test and Champions Trophy Or whatever you name it like ODI Cup Or ODI super league in two years cycle.

In my opinion after 2031 The world cups should be merged with 2035 World Cup being in T20 format and the total number of wc titles should be combined like if Australia won 5 odi wc and 1 T20 then they won 6 total World Cup. Following this every 4 years world cup should be conducted and no need for separate T20 world cup. Champions trophy should be discontinued and number of full member should be increased to 14 and WTC should be divided into two tiers with each team playing 6 other teams in their tier a 5 match series over the period of 4 years and then the finals. All the rest of the time there should be leagues with proper league pyramid like in football and world Cup qualification where even full members have to participate

For me, before discussing the Champions Trophy I wants that the ODI World Cup to have 16 teams with 4 groups of 4 teams each and top 2 from each group advancing to the Quarter Finals and so on....Whereas t20 World Cup should be atleast 24 teams for now but I wants it to be of 32 teams with 8 groups of 4 teams each and top 2 from each group advancing to the Round of 16 and so on....Now, let's say there is ODI World Cup in 2023 then t20 World Cup should be in 2025 and the next ODI World Cup in 2027 and t20 World Cup in 2029 ,i.e. both the formats following the 4 years cycle and its okay for the ICC Test Championship to have top 2 teams playing the final...Now regarding Champions Trophy I don't care much about it just like Nishankar bhai said but if they wanna have it then as the name suggests Champions Trophy so top 8 teams from a World Cup is fine maybe t20 would be better and it should be considered more like a side tournament and bilaterals should be decreased very much...Or else, Knockout Trophy instead of Champions Trophy sounds better as every match is a knockout sounds interesting and lower teams would get to play against bigger teams and on that particular day if it's their (Lower Ranked) day, they can even reach the finals....And in cricket t20 World Cup Qualifiers, all the teams should participate like in football for example say in a 32 nation t20 World Cup, around 13 teams from Asia, 7 teams from Europe, 6 from Africa, 3 from Americas and 3 from Oceania as the lower rankings would get a chance to display against bigger teams and that way they can improve.....
