    This is the easiest directions I've seen for making a caftan. No bothersome tape measures, etc.!! Thanks.

    I like it ! There are some “supposed” kaftan tutorials on yootoob, most of which are incomprehensible. Thank you for bringing some sanity to kaftans 👍♥️

      I'm glad you like it! I remember looking up lots of crafting/sewing tutorials and hating how long it took to get to the meat of it so I started making my own. I'm glad my video helped you

    I love that fabric!! It looks good on you. I like the bias idea on the neckine for sure. You can also sew a strip of elastic on the inside back or sides to cinch it at the waist more if thats a look you want. I like them more flowy.

      Thank you so much! I wear it all time time and I really need to make another one. I'll have to take your suggestion and use a strip of elastic

    This video is not brand new but right now it's 3/6/2021 8:48 am MST and it's 45°F (:
    Your modeling at the end was so fun!
    I wanna make a bunch of these cuz I have thick thigh problems lmao, and is like to have fun prints etc, I wanna make em long enough I can just throw some leggings on underneath or even as long as a dress. I think it'll save me moneys in the long run by not needing to buy jeans ever 10 months.

      @MarissaFloro  3 года назад +1

      45 sounds sooooo cold right now. I just want some nice sun and warmth. I hope youll share your creations with me! I've made like two of them

      45 is actually really nice rn! It's always refreshing after a cold winter. Since commenting we've been getting highs in the 60°F's

      @@WayOverBooked I would LOOOVVVEEE to be in 60 weather right now. Being in Denmark is so cold and its super windy so the wind chill knocks it down a few degrees~

    83 degrees!! Haha cool video homie, the final product turned out great 👍. You need to come back here and help me reupholster the ae86 seats! I'm gonna have to buy a sewing machine and start learning lol. Keep up the great work!

      It was 30 degrees cel. (85 degrees farenheit) It's been burning me up like CREAAZZYY. Like its just dry heat but not like LA. XC I just cant win.
      I don't know if I can do car seats... BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN! lol.

    I really didn’t understand your last step that you did on the sides.

    • @MarissaFloro
      @MarissaFloro  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for commenting! So right before the last step, currently the piece of fabric is more like a pancho. So what you want to do is pin two spots around your waist/chest where you want it to be secured down to act more like a shirt. From those two markings make sure they're symmetrical on the left and right. Then just make a few stitches.
      I hope that helps! Let me know if you need a bit more help!
