FINAL RIDE: Westinghouse Traction Elevators at Macy's Center City Philadelphia PA

Filmed on New Year's Day, before I received word of the store closing. This will be the final ride on these elevators, as this store is closing in March of this year. I will miss these elevators dearly, as they are a childhood favorite of mine. If I make it down here before the store closes I will try to go for the freight elevator. I would really hate to see the demise of the iconic pipe organ if this space gets redeveloped.

In Florida, they’re closing in Boynton Beach, Tampa (Westshore) and Sarasota (Southgate/Siesta Key), along with a handful furniture shops.
