I filmed this one and the tracks 3 and 4 elevator at the same time and the chime box for the inside lantern was dying when I filmed this one. The chime box for the other one doesn’t work

Macy’s, FIX YOUR ELEVATOR!
The chime on the 2nd floor of this now former Westy reminded me of the former Macy*s at Plymouth Meeting Mall.
These are some of the insanest elevators I've been on. Too bad they ruined them with keyreaders now :(

I've been on these and they are absolutely worn out. 2/4 were out of service when I went. They all have glitchy floor indicators. This whole place has become an absolute crapshoot.
Too bad these got modded. Got an interesting mod with custom MAD fixtures and SmartRise controllers. The new cabs are NOT phone friendly at all due to the lighting that messes with the phone's camera. At least the circular elevator is still 110% original.

@@Ih8kone Sounds like typical Macy's maintenance. I'm lucky I have a couple Macy's with decent elevators in my area, with the worst being the one at Tysons Corner Center, which has this absolutely boring and slow slapped on Montgomery elevator. I had a pretty similar experience back in January in a parking garage in Erie PA. It has this Thyssenkrupp with VR buttons and was banging, shaking, and screeching the entire time and also had an awful and corroded cab. That currently holds my spot of 2024's crappiest elevator. 2023 was this absolutely horrendous Otis modded elevator in Nashville TN.
@@dmvelevatorsandmore I work for Macy's and unfortunately, we are at the mercy of Schindler. We'd be better off with Otis or Thyssenkrupp.
@@Ih8kone I totally agree with you. If Schindler modded anymore elevators at Macy's, I could only imagine the problems it would have within the first five years. The newer HXpresses are cheap pieces of garbage. These two elevators at this airport near me got modded with Schindler HXpress recently and they are some of the sleaziest pieces of shite I've ever seen.

The Shanghai Transrapid train can run at speeds over 265 mph, and China's high-speed rail system is more than 25,000 miles long. It's shameful.
I live in Shanghai and the Maglev is a total boondoggle. Nobody uses it except to experience it.
Part of the problem is that most American politicians are retards and not willing to invest in passenger rail.
