Judge Mel Red Recana has served on the bench since May 1981. He swore in his son Judge Julian Recana to the LA Superior Court 34 years later. They are the only father and son FilAm judges serving on the court concurrently. ABC reporter Tony Cabrera highlights them for AAPI Month.
