Thank you for this. I put my battery in the drone, took off the propellers, turned on and just let it sit with flashing lights. If it was, as the support said a cell or cells, over voltage this should bring it/ them down. I then charged for a few minutes in the drone. Back to the hub and all is well. One of the guys in another comment mentioned the possibility of it being a "stored in the hub issue" . It might well be that one cell is being brought down, giving the controller the impression that others are high. Either way I will be making a spacer OR storing them in the bag but out of the hub. Thanks again Gary
I just put the number 2 at 50% in the drone to charge, after a full charge i.e the four LED light are on popped the number two into the hub and hay presto! no error light.

@@DRAGON.13 2 years later they still have this problem when I put the battery into the drone it does that same this on the drone lights with the 3 blinks
Maybe pop it in the drone and look at the battery info from the fly app. My guess is the battery has become unbalanced :\ And to sort it, maybe hover the drone and take the battery to 0% and then charge and see if it sorts it :)
I thought of a better way to flatten it. Put the battery in the Two-Way Charging Hub, and use it as a power bank to charge things, until it's flat :) In my search for the error it said "cells out of balance" ;)
@@anyusernamewilldonow This is the reply i got from DJI SUPPORT from facebook "Hi there, LED 3 blinks 3 times per second means over-voltage is detected. Please try to remove the battery, charging cable, and charger, power the battery on and off, then charge it again. Besides, you can try to charge the battery with it being attached to the drone. See if this solves your case.
@@DRAGON.13 Cool :) I'm also seeing that the Mini 2 batteries do not self discharge like they should if left in the charger or the drone. As they stay in the ready to fly state, where as if removed they go into a battery care mode. (this issue is being talked about on all the drone groups on FB) :)

Tried it with a new drone combo package. One of the batteries just blinks 4 lights on the hub and when place in the drone to charge it that way, it also just blinks all 4 lights. I know it doesn't mean its fully charge because the drone doesn't start with that battery. What does all 4 blinking lights mean? Should I leave it charging in the hub or drone?
@@marshberryfarm488 yeah they tend to hibernate when not used and hard to bring back when trying to charge or use. However, the new I got is good. Good luck.
I wonder if it's caused by leaving the battery plugged into the hub as they do not currently self discharge to storage voltage while sat plugged into the hub? Apparently DJI are aware of this issue and should be coming up with a fix.👍😎 EDIT- I've never seen this issue on the original Mavic Mini and charging hub.
@@PmBoyle I connected with DJI but they said it looks like a charger hub issue ...it is unable to charge battery with my last port of the battery and they can't provide fix becoz they don't provide support in my country..very disappointed

I tried to discharge it completely and it didn’t work. However there was a battery update from DJI which I installed today and it fixed it for me
I just? Bought mine and pick up today on bestbuy and charge all batteries but the two is full but the 3rd one is just blinking like that 😢
I have the exact same problem, as do thousands of other people.

I have the same. The pin on the far right of my charger was bent over. I have straightened it and problem has gone
Try to use the battery for a while then first charge it with the drone directly after that try to charge with charging hub. it will fixe it

Or put it away for a week or two and the battery should auto discharge itself to storage volts. And hopefully balancing the cells :)
