Just watching how you dismantled that was a surprise - it was like a PUZZLE-BOX. Just that bit would have taken me an hour or more. As ever it was the dust and rubbish produced by using it that caused a major problem. I have the older 10.8V Bosch tool of this type, It is a great tool but rather under-powered these days.
I think the play that was in the battery after the repair is intentional. They knew these things transferred a lot of vibration and I’m told on this tool they designed it that way, not on the new one though.
tbf that is a January sale deal - usual price is around $150 so not wildly different. Still a good deal for a quality tool if you use that battery system - repair is still much less than half price for a tool that will continue on for years
That disassembly would be a real pain to figure out the first time! Also appreciate the brief tour of what is and isn't expensive to replace.
Hats off to all those around the world who design all of these tools. Literally, where would you start?
Nice repair.
Nice job Dean. Can't wait till the next one
Super video as always sir. Very useful indeed, thank you.
Dean the magician..BISH .BASH.. BOSCH..😂
I'll rather own Bosch than millwrinkles

Thanks for the video.
Just wondering about the gap between the battery connector and the new body, looks rather large?

Sa veux dire meme bosch asteur on peux pas changer juste un morceaux cest rendu toute de meme asteur ... pas juste milwaukee on dirais
bah, au moins chez bosch on peut acheter les pièces.
If your screwdriver had been 2mm shorter then you wouldn't have gotten the screw inside the housing tightened.
Note to self, don't buy Bosch.
Or buy longer screwdriver lol
