Correction on ballista, whichever target is hit by the ballista auto dies. For models with multiple wounds they can pass one fate to negate the shot. Models that are d10 or have more than 4* wounds lose half their wounds
I think this correction has some errors in it. They still have to roll to wound. If the initial target is a battlefield target it is slain IF the hit wounds (preventable with a single Fate point as you said) unless they have a Defence characteristic of 10 or a Wound characteristic of 10+, in which case they take a number of wounds equal to half their Wound characteristic rounded up.
@DesmondDentresti yes I was wrong on the wound total. The target jas to have 10 wounds for them to get halved. Yes the target that get struck by the initial hit auto dies unless fated. So you don't have to roll to wound on the target, but you do have to roll to wound for the models affected by the 2 in tremendous impact
@@noahkarmann3994 To just nail that down, the initial hit DOES still need to roll a dice to wound the target before they have to start spending Fate though. It isnt auto-dead based on the hit roll. Hit roll > Wound roll > Fate rolls > Dead.
Kills on a roll of a 6 for the scatter shot to hit from the ballista Veteran count as kills (you can might it if needed to hit your intended target) all other results do not count. That’s what all the Tournament Organisers have told me when I used siege weapons, especially the iron hills Ballista so the Str 4 secondary hit will not count.
Just stumbled across this channel, I think I met you guys last year at Nashcon! Keep the battle reports coming!
Awesome! What were you running at Nashcon??

@@DesmondDentresti well shoot, I've been playing that wrong after re-reading 😬

Got it, thanks for the clarification!
