- Starting pitcher Garrett Crochet didn’t waste any time getting his first strikeout on the first batter of the game. He tossed a total of 6.0 innings, striking out 4 while not allowing a single hit until the bottom of the fifth inning.
White Sox offense struck first in the second. Korey Lee reached base on a throwing error by third baseman Ernie Clement. Nicky Lopez knocked an RBI single to score Lee on an electric slide home.
Corey Julks tacked on two more runs in the top of the fifth inning after an Andrew Vaughn walk and Eloy Jiménez double.
In the top of the eighth, Danny Mendick launched a 2-RBI double off the top of the left field wall to score Paul DeJong and Dominic Fletcher and put the Sox up 5-0.
White Sox pitching staff was lights out. After Crochet’s dominate performance, John Brebbia held down the seventh inning. Jordan Leasure and Michael Kopech slammed the door, striking out 5 Blue Jays in the eighth and ninth inning. Overall, pitchers held Toronto to only two hits.
The White Sox defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 5-0 at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario on May 21, 2024.

Man, I love Garrett Crochet
Would love to for the Sox to keep him tbh but no guarantees.
Man everyone does
God he is sick with it.
The league needs watch out for Korey Lee.
More games like this please. Eloy hurt. Just when Jr. Is just about ready. Play small ball Sox!
50/50 that crochet and Robert are traded
Jerry isn't interested in winning another world series. He might trade them.
@@oreally8605I think he wants to win another championship. He said it back on a rare appearance into the media. The problem is that he wants to win in “his way”.
Love seeing Remillard play Billy Ball.
Injuries are exactly why our rebuild failed. Eloy was just barely figuring out his approach at the plate and now back on the IL resetting him. Robert, Moncada, Kopech, etc are all failures because of the IL.
Dominating Performance By Crochet Great Job From The Bullpen Also Go Whitesox🖤🖤🖤❤️❤️❤️👏💯
Big shocker Eloy hurts his hamstring. Money well spent, Jerry
Bryan Ramos our near future third baseman. Moncada can grab some bench when he comes back.
If any team deserved to be shut out and humiliated its Toronto after beating the Sox and putting up 9. Thanks for comming out.
Great game Chicago White Sox
Good work White Sox
Knowing Jerry, Crochet will probably be traded for cash considerations.
Only bright spot of this shit show…they will probably trade him 😢😢
50/50 tbh. Sox don’t have much LHP in their system.
Jerry Sell the team within these next 3 years.
Selling the team is 100% going to keep Eloy, Robert, Moncada, and half our lineup off the IL, right?
@@fallen4life080 only way the Sox can move forward is for Jerry to sell, want to see next rebuild with Ramos, Montgomery, Quero, Gonzalez, unfortunately Benentendi contract. As a start up with a new owner, Crochet and Robert Jr could be traded this year under Jerry Reinsdorf, it's over for Injury Prone Moncada he gone after this year, Jimenez should be gone, but no takers, Jerry still has his move to another city option, no surprise he would still do it. Happy with 2005, seen every pro team in Chicago win a championship starting with Chicago Sting 1981 I think?
