In this video, PWA Windsurfers Enrico Marotti and Nico Prien present the latest foil racing sail of Neilpryde: The RS:FLIGHT EVO IV! Besides all the changes that have been made to this sail compared to earlier versions, both Nico and Enrico also give some really valuable tips in trimming your sail for foiling, so make sure to watch until the end!
Let us know how you trim your foil sails below!👇
Hi Nico, it's very nice to see Enrico in your work. These videos are helpful and very educational. I hope for new presentations of NeilPryde equipment and educations. Great work for both of you!!
We need a in depth video about the sails that can mount 2 mast measures: what are the differences, the feeling, how. to choose etc!
Hey, I use the current NeilPryde always with the shorter mast options. I think that with longer you will have a deeper shape in the entrance of the sail. It will be a bit more stable with this profile, but less release and the nose of the board will tend to go down more. Overall balance is better on the shorter ones, in my opinion.
@@Nico_GER7 Thank you very much Nico! What about choosing between RDM and SDM? I am interested in the v8 flight and they can rig both
@@Nico_GER7 Hi Nico! Thanks for the reply! What about choosing between rdm and Sdm?
really interesting, even for those who have the sails of the previous year
Glad it helps!
nice content, good video.
On a new np sail, should you tension the battens before rigging the first time?
Hi, I got an Evo flight IV 5.7 and I rigged it on a TPX100 430, the leech is very loose in the top panel, a little less in panels 2 and 3 but no looseness in panels 4 and 5. Is that normal? Thanks
Hi Nico! Just tried for the first time yesterday my new NP RS FLIGHT EVO 7.7 , on my 4th foil session actually. Not much wind unfortunately 9 - 10 kn and then died to 0, but felt very very stable ...on my one 3min run. Wanted to ask what is in your opinion the best mast to rig it with, 520 or 490, I used 490 with 36cm -1, I mean what could be the difference in behaviour/performance between the two.
Hey Slogo! Glad you liked that short run, haha. Yes, they are super stable.I use it with 490. I think that with 520 you will have a deeper shape in the front. It should be a bit more stable, but less release and the nose of the board will tend to go down more. Overall balance is better on 490, in my opinion.
