- SONY FX3 + SIRUI 50mm F1.8 Anamorphic 1.33X Lens SAMPLE footage recorded at 100 fps in camera. Recorded in S-Cinetone and graded with Film Convert Nitrate in DaVinci Resolve 17.

i want to buy the SIRUI 50mm f1.8 1.33x but i read it´s not full frame, how does it actually work in the sony FX3?
I zoom in on the clear image zoom 1.2x and that gets rid of any vignetting (I don’t loose much of the 4K resolution because the FX3’s sensor is 4.2K)
I would buy the full frame versions but those are 1.6x squeeze so by the time i zoom in the footage to fill the 2.35:1 frame i loose even more resolution… either Sony needs to give us open gate of the sensor via firmware or Sirui needs to make a 1.33x full frame lens…

I'm guessing this was before the desqueeze update?
Yes. Although even after the update i use the FX3's screen only for focus pulling with the peaking display and on the external display i use the LUT and the desqueeze option.
wheres the lens flare
There were no specular light here, the light was pretty even during dusk :)
Filmed a concert recently with the Sirui and the flares really add to the atmosphere. Maybe i'll do a video about it.
