Absolutely love your work and your videos! Suffered through another guys video for 18+ minutes just installing a clutch on a go-kart just to find out the motor was too small to run it. He had 5 minutes worth of usable material. Your stuff is inspiring!
I would recommend replacing the drill chuck with a proper three jaw chuck, e.g. a Unimat 4 chuck which sticks out far less and so gives you more room on the bed. I would also recommend placing the toolholder off centre to the left so you can get closer to the chuck with your tool (on the test run video it is fairly obvious you cannot get very close to the chuck). Otherwise: a good job!

Z drugiej strony jeśli by budować mikrotokarkę to o parametrach i użytkowości pełnowymiarowego urządzenia. Plus za pomysłowość i chęci.
Looks almost easy enough to build but how does it work ? Instead of a drill chuck can you use a small lathe head on it ? A 2 access would be fine for me as a beginner! Where would I find parts to build some of it ? I have the metal stock and an old 1/2 drill and bearings and pipe and can weld good .i would need the head , knobs and reversing rotation motor . Nice build ! I’ve watched a lot of them thus far !
Excellent job bro! But Something is missing like, Which type of metal used in body(cast iron or High speed steel ),Length, Width or instruments names etc . Kindly all requires Mention at description or Pinned comment.
You have some ability. It's truly amazing to see you do these things with the limited resources you have available to you. How did you get into this? I mean how did you learn to do this kind of stuff?
Life forced to engage in such things. All skills work with metal and mechanics I get myself. It's my hobby and the only way to earn a living. The fact that I can not buy, I produce myself. Recent negative events in my country have led to this.
1:29 what stops the shafts from coming out? IMO the right hand shaft support holes should be smaller so that only the threaded end can go through. This keeps the main shafts from moving. Overall good job
I've never seen it happen, but I'm told that side-loading on a drill chuck is asking for serious injury as they are not designed for that kind of lateral force...
It is nice but one thing for inspiring for others you have to speak about describation of parts wher they are avilable to making majerments about it i like it will be best if become more explation
It's a good idea but there's room for improvement for example the part where the chuck goes should be solid steel and heavy.it's not absolutely necessary to have a lathe to make a simple lathe i build one long time ago and i didn't had a lathe but you need to be ingenious.
but your using a lathe to turn parts for the micro lathe. I am confused for those of us who cant afford an actual lathe to turn parts then why show us it? Just curious
That is generally the case with tooling. You need a computer to design a computer. And as Andrej remarks: if you have access to a lathe that is not yours, you can make your own. The nicety of this one that its size is custom built to your own specific needs. Costs in materials, well what, say 100-150 USD?

Very good idea, very good finishing,it can be used for making wood granules.
I made a bigger version of this and its really useful for my video tutorials.
Thank you.
Congratulation! This is a small masterpiece of home-made lathe machine.

I got 2 of those tut sewing machine motors. 1 80watts and 1 90 watts. Buid year 1985 and 1984. they work on 220volts.

excellent work ! way to use your head and use what you have to support yourself! Again FANTASTIC!!!!
You gave me an idea to make a cutting machine with the base.thanks.

Fantastic!
Inspiring!
Awesome! I've been meaning to make something like this or your bigger lathe for a while.

Dont know why this got over 800 dislikes. Nice Job!
great project I am looking at building a small lathe and other useful workshop tools, have you got any sizes of the materials you used.
your the best man, i guess it better than lots of commercial shits
Wow! I recenty had something similar, made by boat modelist.
I've never seen it happen, but I'm told that side-loading on a drill chuck is asking for serious injury as they are not designed for that kind of lateral force...
You need a Leth for making a mini Leth!!
Yeah...this is a fake
Wonderful, looks exactly like emco Unimat DB / SL
QUE BUEN TRABAJO. 1000 PUNTOS PARA USTED.
Very nice job!
Haha, when I saw the first lathe you used, I was like 'WTF, is that his homemade mini lathe..??' . Thankfully it wasn't. Nice job dude :)
What these linear sliders are made of? Just a piece of steel pipe? Steel pipe slides on another steel pipe?

If the steps were broke down more i believe I could make it. ...I really enjoyed that video
Nice work on bed and cross slide. Would be useful for small fitting jobs at home.
Very cool !! Throw some chip gaurds on it and your ready to go.
Good job man.
Fantastic, love to have it ♥️
Its good idea But why you dont test it after finished
Thanks bhai accha video bnaya
Excelente trabajo, solo faltó la pintura.
Very nice job

So I need a big lathe to make a little one?

well done!
Nice.. but since a lathe already is required to make it... what about those who want to make a lathe because they DONT have one already?
to make your first mini lathe you need lathe.. fu.. impresive ;)
How did you connect the round bar on the opposite side of the nut?

Goodjob
vertical lathe instead, no size limitations, adjustable tool position rail
Awesome!! Keep up the amazing work!
I’m in the process of building a very small lathe as well. I’m posting very short videos on my Facebook account.
Nicely done!!
Calidad de trabajo. Muy bien hecho.
but your using a lathe to turn parts for the micro lathe. I am confused for those of us who cant afford an actual lathe to turn parts then why show us it? Just curious
If my dad had this he would actually use it to sharpen his pencils.
Bellissimo,proverò a farlo anchio.
Aww, the big lathe had a child...
One time I rolled over a log and seen a tiny little stick, I said look, that log had a child...
Hello hola как поживаете :) that is awesome ! can you tell me about diameter that iron tube and that shaft ??
