Absolutely love your work and your videos! Suffered through another guys video for 18+ minutes just installing a clutch on a go-kart just to find out the motor was too small to run it. He had 5 minutes worth of usable material. Your stuff is inspiring!

I would recommend replacing the drill chuck with a proper three jaw chuck, e.g. a Unimat 4 chuck which sticks out far less and so gives you more room on the bed. I would also recommend placing the toolholder off centre to the left so you can get closer to the chuck with your tool (on the test run video it is fairly obvious you cannot get very close to the chuck). Otherwise: a good job!

Mały problem w tym że trzeba mieć tokarkę, do niej dostęp lub jednak komuś posiadającemu tokarkę zlecić wykonanie pewnych elementów. Z drugiej strony jeśli by budować mikrotokarkę to o parametrach i użytkowości pełnowymiarowego urządzenia. Plus za pomysłowość i chęci.

Looks almost easy enough to build but how does it work ? Instead of a drill chuck can you use a small lathe head on it ? A 2 access would be fine for me as a beginner! Where would I find parts to build some of it ? I have the metal stock and an old 1/2 drill and bearings and pipe and can weld good .i would need the head , knobs and reversing rotation motor . Nice build ! I’ve watched a lot of them thus far !

1:29 what stops the shafts from coming out? IMO the right hand shaft support holes should be smaller so that only the threaded end can go through. This keeps the main shafts from moving. Overall good job

It's a good idea but there's room for improvement for example the part where the chuck goes should be solid steel and heavy.it's not absolutely necessary to have a lathe to make a simple lathe i build one long time ago and i didn't had a lathe but you need to be ingenious.

The nicety of this one that its size is custom built to your own specific needs. Costs in materials, well what, say 100-150 USD?
